Shamefully, the Super Eagles of Nigeria crashed out of the last-16 of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, to the surprise of their fans as they never expected an early elimination in the continental competition, who took to various social media platforms to vent their anger on the team, and mostly on young goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and midfielder Alex Iwobi whose two errors in the game seemed to contribute to the team's failure.

Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi who was sent out of the game for a professional tackle made against a Tunisian player has done his best to calm the furious fans for his action in the game through his latest post on his Twitter account.

Apologizing to fans for the early elimination, and for his poor performance in the game in a time they needed him the most, the Everton midfielder wishes to come back stronger and deliver quality to the best of his abilities.
