Ahead of the 2023 general election, Nigerian comedian cum actor Okey Bakassi has called on Nigerians to get their PVC to vote against bad governance in the country.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Okey Bakassi listed the categories of uneducated northerners who have PVC, unlike many graduates and master degree holders, with the excuse that their votes do not count.

Okey Bakassi opined that people should stop making such statements of their votes not being valid, and if votes don’t count, politicians won’t pay or bribe those uneducated northerners to vote for them.

You (a studen or a graduate with BSC or MSC holder) with all your education and exposure still don’t have PVC. The worst thing is that you even try to justify why you don’t have one ‘My vote won’t count.

For the sake of those who paid your school fees and fed you through school, please don’t make your education /exposure useless with a statement like that. If votes don’t count, politicians won’t bribe/pay people to vote for them.

News recalls Okey Bakassi slammed Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari over his medical trip abroad.

According to Okey, during an interview with Lagos Talks FM slammed President Buhari for not equipping Aso rock clinic to standard and fly in foreign nationals rather than travel out to the country for medical check up. The comedian who recently revealed he’s tired and fed up with the situation of things totally condemned the president medical trip.

”Have you ever heard any president who loves his country go to another country for a medical check-up? The country can afford to build good hospitals the president can receive treatment from and not travel out for check out”He said
