Food is the fire of life.
Some say we are our food,
Food is beyond mere morsels now,
It's an enlarged eccentricity,
Bigger than drunken tommies.
It's beyond the ordinary defining;
'We eat and drink to keep us alive'.
Modesty is lost here,
Though some still modestly,
Many have lost their minds,
Yes I know that.
If we can remember,
Health and sickness are in food.
And life and death in their pouch.
Days gone by, food have meaning,
Today hmmm!
Food is chopping our lives,
In their development,
Food also have thoughts.
They bite,
The lazy and nonplussed ,
To those, it's not within reach.
Food now controls.
Before, people control food.
Alas!
With food we know levels:
Generosity,selfishness & greed too.
Everything now is tied to food,
In the name of survival instinct,
Many are impoverished,
Corruption is everywhere,
Liars and gluttons everywhere.
No one is left out,
Food now dictate awareness:
Appearances,
Status,
Diplomacy and currency,
All bow to the juggernaut.
Politics is lost to food,
Bringing down nations.
It could wear terrorism,
It's just food,
Religion is down by its power too.
