27-year-old Abubakar Zailani Ibrahim A fake military officer has been arrested by the police in Kano state.

27-year-old Abubakar Zailani Ibrahim who specializes in extorting tricyclists in Kano metropolis was arrested after the suspect came from Adamawa State and arrested a tricyclist who he took to Rijiyar Zaki station on Tuesday, December 14.

At the police station, the suspect claimed that some weeks ago, the tricyclist made away with his Military Uniform and other valuables valued at the sum of One Hundred and Ninety-Five Thousand Naira (N195,000).

Kano police spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said an investigation carried out by the police revealed that Zailani is a fake military officer who extorts tricyclists in the Kano metropolis.

The suspect also confessed to stealing the camouflage uniform from the room of his friend in Dutse, Jigawa State.
