Insecurity in the country is threatening agricultural activities, especially, yam production. Yam consumption is high, that is the demand for yam in Nigeria is high while supply from farmers is low thus causing prices to rise above the common man. The need to step up yam production in the country as well as other agricultural activities goes hand in hand with stepping up security measures to boost farmers activities. If these measures are not taken now our country's future will be threatened as food scarcity is dangerous to humanity. Let us be wise and do something today to save Nigeria, food wise, tomorrow.
