One of the survivor of the December 2005 Sosoliso airlines crash, Kechi Okwuchi has recently grown to the semi finals of the yearly America's Got Talent TV show.

The 27-year-old, who stunned Simon Cowell and other judges with her rendition of Katy Perry's song 'From The Grace of God', got a standing ovation from the audience and the judges all gave her the required approval for eligibility.

The singer, who expressed her joy in her progress at the competition, took to social websites to thank people for their support.

Also through to the semis are all New York City subway singer Mike Yung, singer-songwriter Chase Goehring and gospel choir DaNell Daymon & Greater Works.
