Cucumber is a soft succulent plant with high water content and has large leaves that form canopy over the fruit. Cucumber can be eaten raw in salad or pickled. Cucumber is a good source of phytonutrient such as flavonoid, beta carotene,triterpene, lycopene,lignin, Vitamin A,C,K B6 and also provide dietary fibers, pantothemic acid,magnesium, phosphorus, copper and manganese it contain ascorbic acid and caffeic acid both of which help to smoothen skin irritation and reduce swelling in skin .It is also recommended as source of silicon to improve the complexion and health of skin.
