Gabriel Magalhaes Close to €27million Arsenal move -



Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes is reportedly closing in on a €27million Arsenal move according to ESPN sports.



Arsenal Chiefs have been in talks with the defender's representatives and it is now appears as though the London based club are now in pole position to sign Gabriel ahead of rivals Manchester United, with the player said to have chosen to move to the Emirates.



The 22 year old have been recently linked with a move to Everton and AC Milan, but the defender wants a dream move to the Premier league, with the Emirates now looking likely to be his destination, of he leaves the French club this summer.



Meanwhile the player wants to complete the move to quickly as possible, with a move potentially set to materialise in coming days, with United yet to decide whether to move for the defender.



Gabriel will command a fee around €27million up front and €2million, which United have apparently offered on recent days, with reports claiming at the weekend that the Red devils bid was higher than Everton's , that put them at the front queue for the centre back, before Arsenal entered the race.

Arteta Choose Willian over Coutinho -



Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his Arsenal squad following the success of the gunners FA Cup win against rivals Chelsea last weekend, and the Spaniard is said to be closing on former Chelsea winger Willian according to BBC sports.



Arteta is believed to choosing between Willian and Barcelona misfit Coutinho, with the LA Liga club desperate to offload the Brazilian in an effort to raise some much needed Transfer funds.



However, Arsenal can't afford both players with the club announcing on Wednesday that 55 people would be let go, which means they could snub the Barcelona player, even with the option of a season long loan in favour of Willian.



Arsenal director Edu has a good relationship with Kai Joorabchain, Willian and Coutinho's agent and with Chelsea man out of contract at the end of the month, a deal will be straight forward, with the Brazilian winger keen to stay in London and make a short move to the Emirates.



Meanwhile Barcelona's plan to offload Coutinho looks destined to continue .

Mesut Ozil's future at Arsenal could be over -



Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta have made it clear to the German midfielder that he has no future at the club, having left the creative midfielder out of his squad since the Premier league resumed in June.



But with Ozil earning in excess of £300,000 a week at the Emirates, the 31 year old is beyond reach of most clubs and those that could afford him simply don't want a player whose best days are firmly behind him.



Ozil's contract expires at the end of next season, so Arsenal will either have to subsidise a loan or cancel his contract and pay him up. The German has admitted in the past that he is open to a move to United States to play in the MLS ,but won't happen unless he takes huge pay cut , with also a move to Turkey on his cards.
