How China organised mass detention of Chinese Muslims by Stevenokike(m) : 10:41 pm On Jul 24, 2020

The directive to detained all Chinese Muslims was among the pages of internal documents that have been shared with the New York Times. This leaked file is one of the most significant leaks of government papers from inside china's ruling communist party in decades.

More than 400 pages of internal Chinese documents furnish a phenomenal inside look at the crackdown on ethnic minorities in the Xinjiang region.

Some students who returned back from school we're told that their parents and relative we're all gone. All of them locked up in an expanding network of detention camps built to hold Muslims ethnic minorities.

The authorities in the Xinjiang region warned that the situation is a powder keg.

The ruling party has rejected international criticism of the camps and described them as job training centres that used mild methods to fight Islamic radicals. But the file confirmed the coercive nature of the crackdown in the words and orders of the very officials who conceived and orchestrated it

The senior party leaders ordered drastic and urgent action against extremists including the mass detention.

These same officials were telling people who are complaining to be grateful that the communist party is helping them to fight against a common enemy.

The leaked file stated that President Xi Jinping, the communist party chief laid the groundwork for the crackdown in series of the speech delivered in private to officials during and after a visit to Xinjiang.

According to a member of Chinese political establishment who pleaded for anonymity expressed hope that their disclosure would prevent party leaders, including Mr Xi, from escaping culpability for mass detention.

Xinjiang is a very rich territory located on the sensitive frontier with Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia. Primarily Muslim ethnic minority groups make up more than half of the region's population of 25 million.

The largest of these groups are the Uighurs, who speak a Turkic language, and have long faced discrimination and restrictions on cultural and religious activities.

The authorities in Xinjiang have detained many hundreds of thousands of Muslims. Many inmates undergo months or years of indoctrination and interrogation aimed at transforming them into secular and loyal supporters of the communist party.

What is your stand on this kind of government? They once asked Christians to remove all images of Jesus and replace them with the picture of their president, whom they can see.

Mr Xi should just openly turn himself into a deity and order all his citizens to worship him like Nebuchadnezzar did, instead of subtly requesting for worship.
