Ladies, we all ought to know this little secret, that the easiest way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Therefore you are meant to be well equipped with the knowledge of making his favourite meals especially the traditional ones. This very article it's going to teach us how to make one of this traditional meal which is known as Afang soup. Listed below are the ingredients and recipes for the soup.

Afang soup (6 portions)



1. Assorted meat(washed ,seasoned, and cooked).

2. 4 snails ( washed with lime).

3. 500g stock fish ( soaked).

4. 500g dry fish (washed with hot water).

5. 250g periwinkle.

6. 250g prawns.

7. 250g crayfish.

8. 25g ground pepper.

9. 1 medium sized onions.

10. 50g Afang leaves or okazi.

11. 1kg waterleaf

12. 250ml palm oil.

13. 500ml stock or water and salt.

PROCEDURE

1. Season the assorted meat and fish with salt, ground pepper, onions.

2. Add the assorted meat, snails, stock fish, and dry fish in the stock and boil.

3. Add the pounded afang leaves, washed waterleaf and crayfish.

4. Stir gently and bring to boil.

5. Add palm oil, correct the seasoning and allow to simmer for 15 - 20 minutes.

6. Remove from heat and serve on a suitable dish with pounded yam or fufu.

Note it is not compulsory to use all the listed meats and fish. THANKS.
