What is moderation
Moderation is the control of behaviour so that actions, feelings and habits are kept within reasonable limits .it is a very desirable quality or virtue for a Christian to have. Living a life of moderation is an uphill battle in today's world.however, the Bible teaches us that excess of anything may not be good (ecclesiastes 2 verse 10 to 11).
Those who want to win the race to internal life must be temperate in all things and must do everything in moderation .It is expedient for Christians to understand how and why we should live in moderation
Moderation should reflect in every area of our lives.Christian should show moderation in speech James 1 verse 19 states that wherefore my brethren let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
To keep within lawful bounds,Believers should make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lust ,do not follow the examples of the world out of proportion .Walk in the spirit and be heavenly minded
When we are not living in moderation or lack self-control in certain areas of our life ,It indicates that we are not allowing God fully into such areas .The only area in which we do not need to worry about moderation is in our relationship with God ,we are to love God without limits.
In conclusion,The world appears to the lust of the flesh and advances the lie that what we need is more pleasure ,more fun rmore entertainment etc.What we really need is God ,all other things must be in moderation.
