How to prepare gbegiri soup by Vividclem(m) : 8:57 pm On Feb 02, 2020 |
This is a Yoruba (Western Nigerian) soup prepared with beans. It's commonly mixed with ewedu to eat Amala
INGREDIENTS: 2milk cup of oloyin beans, palm oil, blended pepper, grinded Crayfish, seasoning cubes, salt Step1: peel the beans to remove the shaft Step2: pour the beans into a pot of water and boil for about 1 hour (till the beans become very soft) Step3: pour the beans through a sieve (one used for ogi) to remove shaft so as to make the beans completely smooth Step4: heat up palm oil in a different pot for about 30 seconds. Pour the blended pepper. Stir fry it for like 5minutes. Add your seasoning cubes ,salt, Crayfish, salt and continue to stir for like 3minutes . Then you can add your beans water . Add a little water if the soup is too thick cook for another 3minutes Step5: your gbegiri is ready.it goes better with amala |
