First,you have to know,what the consumers require and you have to have a pattern to adopt to know when there is a shift in the demand of a certain commodity.
1. Your environment or let me say, the environment of your business must he wide enough to be able to accept enough commodity as possible.when your business environment is low, the amount of commodity is restricted , which makes the progress of your business to be limited ( this one goes for wholesalers and not manufacturers). For the producer's,you must cite your company in an environment that has the ability to supply,both the raw materials,constant supply of light and also, and environment that has market; this are the most important for a producer who has both the knowledge and the capital for a business . There are other things involved which am not going to speak of,but the little you have grabbed,utilize it perfectly.
