- President Buhari has promised that he would soon implement the new minimum wage - Mixed reactions have continued to greet the delay in the implementation of the new minimum wage by the federal government - Buhari, however, assured that his government would leave no stone unturned to ensure the workers enjoy good life President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his commitment to the implementation of the new minimum wage for Nigerian civil servants. Legit.ng reports that the president made the statement on Thursday, September 12, when the leaders of Trade Union Congress (TUC) paid him a courtesy visit at the State House, Abuja. He told the labour leaders that his administration was ready and remained committed to paying the new minimum wage in order to make life bearable for the workers. Recall that months after the president signed the minimum wage bill into law, the federal government is yet to fully implement it across all categories of workers. |
