Men of the Igando Police Station in Lagos state have arrested one Pastor Pope Paul of No 10/11 Aminu street Ishuti Road Egan Igando for allegedly molesting and impregnating a 15-year-old girl.

A statement released by Bala Elkana, spokesperson of the state police command, says the mother of the victim lodged a complaint to the police on July 2nd. She alleged that sometime in August 2017, her daughter (Name withheld) was brought to Lagos to live with the suspect and his wife.

She stated further that she discovered was pregnant sometime in June 2018 and that when she interrogated her, she mentioned the name of the suspect as the man responsible for her pregnancy.

Bala added that the victim in a statement to the police, said the suspect began having sexual intercourse with her in January 2018 and she soon became pregnant.

She stated further that she gave birth to a baby girl sometime in April , 2019.

Bala added that the suspect is to be charged to court soon.
