Atiku Finally Reacts As Adeleke Loses To Oyetola In Supreme Court by Ojayblaise(m) : 1:28 pm On Jul 05, 2019

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the loss of Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP at the Supreme Court over the Osun State Governorship case to Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress. APC.

In a series of tweets, the former Vice President said the he was taking a stand with the people of Osun State as well as with the Senator in both good and critical times, even as Adeleke had lost the case.

I join with people of goodwill all over Nigeria to say to Senator Ademola Adeleke, and the people of the great state of Osun, that we stand with them in good times and in difficult days.

The Supreme Court has ruled and because of its judicial finality, the legal case is over.

He further went on to stress that even with the final judgement by the Supreme Court, the acceptance and the love that the Senator and the PDP got from the people of Osun State could not be in anyway overlooked and that so, it was not really over for them.

However, the love, acceptance and endorsement that the people of Osun bestowed on both Senator Adeleke and the @OfficialPDPNig is not over and cannot be overlooked.

He went on to say that it would be a huge mistake for anyone to write off Senator Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State as the judgement would only serve to further boost the love of the party and Senator Adeleke in the hearts of Osun people.

Those who think this is the end of the road for Senator Adeleke and the PDP in Osun, are greatly mistaken. This is not the end. Not even the beginning of the end. No. Today marks the continued ascendancy of Senator Adeleke and his party in the hearts and minds of his people.

He also said that the Adeleke family had brought a consistent development to the Osun State overtime and that it will eventually translate to leadership which was only being delayed at the moment. It was the hope of the people that this would have happened now according to Atiku.

The great people of Osun had expected that the progress and development that the Adeleke family had consistently brought to Osun will be translated to their governance. That hope is not dead. Only delayed.

I extend my right hand of brotherhood to Senator Adeleke in all his future endeavours and I assure the good people of the state of Osun that the Peoples Democratic Party remembers their love and acceptance and will never forget to stand by them no matter the situation.

The Presidential Candidate of the PDP in the 2019 polls then ended his statement by advising the Judiciary to take a pause and make a deep reflection on the pulse of the nation as it currently stands. This was as he reminded them that God had placed a huge responsibility with them and that they must always ensure that they serve justice irrespective of pressure they might receive to act in a different manner by powers that be.

Finally, I urge the nation’s judiciary to take a pulse of the nation and reflect it. In their hands, God has placed a great responsibility. The duty to ensure that justice is done, irrespective of the pressure to do otherwise, by the powers that be.
