La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid, have entered the race to sign Leicester City star, Wilfred Ndidi.

According to Owngoalnigeria, Diego Simeon's side have emerged favourites to sign the Nigerian international ahead of Manchester United, Arsenal and even Liverpool.

The newspaper claimed that Madrid want Ndidi to replace Rodri, who has indicated his interest in leaving the club before the end of this summer's transfer window.

The report also claimed that the Foxes will demand a fee in excess of £60million for the 22-year-old.
Ndidi joined Leicester City from Belgium club, Genk in 2017.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move out of the King Power Stadium this summer with some of the biggest names in the Premier League lining up for his signature.

He was an ever-present for Leicester in the Premier League last season, and enjoyed an eye-catching campaign.
