Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has described midfielder, Juan Mata, as one of the most intelligent players he has ever worked with.

Solskjaer stated this while expressing his happiness at the news that the Spain’s 2010 World Cup winner has signed a new deal at the club.

Mata had on Wednesday signed a new deal with Man United that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2021.

“Juan is the ultimate professional and one of the most intelligent players I have worked with,” Solskjaer told the club’s official website.

Speaking after singing a new deal with Man United, Mata told the club’s official website: ”It is a real honour to continue to represent this amazing club and our incredible fans. I have been at Manchester United for five years and I am proud to call Old Trafford my home.

“I am looking forward to working with Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer) and his fantastic coaching staff; the vision that they have for the club is truly exciting and I am so happy that I will be a part of that.”
