Some celebrities use their powers to better humanity and make the world a better place, while others? Well... they get away with murder.

At least some of them do (like #1 on this list).

Not every person on this list intentionally took another life, of course, and it goes without saying that not always does someone go to jail.

But scroll around below for a look at a bunch of famous people who have (allegedly, or probably, or definitely) taken the lives of others.

We're guessing you'll be surprised by a few.
1. O.J. Simpson

O.J. Simpson was arrested for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman, leading to the trial of the century in 1994-95.
2. Rebecca Gayheart

Rebecca Gayheart struck and killed a boy in a crosswalk when she didn't want to stop and wait behind the line of cars who'd stopped to let the boy cross the street.

3. Laura Bush

Former FLOTUS Laura Bush ran a stop sign at 17 years old and killed a classmate.
4. Brandy

Brandy Norwood hit a car in front of her by failing to brake in time, killing the driver in front of her. Brandy took full responsibility for the accident, but was never charged.

5. Phil Spector

Phil Spector shot and killed 40 year old actress Lana Clarkson. He's behind bars for life.
6. Lane Garrison

In December 2006, Prison Break star Lane Garrison was responsible for a car crash which left a teenager dead. He was sentenced to 40 months in jail.

7. Vince Neil

Vince Neil killed a man and seriously injured two others during a 1984 drunk driving accident. He served 15 days of his 30 day jail sentence.
8. Robert Blake

Robert Blake was arrested and tried for killing his wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley. He was found innocent, but was helpd liable for her death in a civil suit.

9. Jayson Williams

Former NBA stay Jayson Williams was giving a tour of his house and was playing with a shotgun that discharged and killed his limo driver.
10. Aaron Hernandez

Aaron Hernandez was named in not one, but THREE murders. Three. He was convicted of the first, acquitted of the next two and appealing the first when he took his own life in prison.

11. Don King

Boxing promoter Don King was actually accused of two murders but convicted of only one. He served just under 4 years in prison.
12. Snoop Dogg

So SNOOP wasn't the one who pulled the trigger, but his bodyguard was. He was still arrested in the death of a rival gang member and represented by Johnnie Cochran.


13. Donte Stallworth

Football player Donte Stallworth killed a man during a drunk driving incident. He pled guilty and served 30 days in jail.
14. J.R. Smith

Basketball player J.R. Smith swerved around a car at a stop sign and crashed his car, killing his passenger. He served 24 days of a 90 day sentence.

15. Sid Vicious

Sid Vicious allegedly stabbed his girlfriend Nancy Spurgeon to death while they were high. He died of a heroin overdose several months later.
16. Suge Knight

Suge Knight has been charged with murder. The charge came down in February 2015 due to a hit and run incident in California.

17. Robert Durst

Robert Durst has been arrested for murder. His case is one of the most bizarre in modern times.
18. Michael Jace

Michael Jace has been found guilty of killing his wife. The actor is best known for his role on The Shield.


19. Nick Gordon

A judge has ruled that Nick Gordon supplied Bobbi Brown with the deadly mix of drugs that took her life. He has been found responsibe for his late girlfriend's death.
20. Chris Soules

Chris Soules, the former Bachelor star, was arrested in April of 2017 for hitting a man with his car, killing this man and allegedly fleeing the scene.
