A Nigerien Who Stabs Man To Death In Jigawa Arrested

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has apprehended one Isa Idrisa, a Nigerien, who allegedly stabbed a person to death in Hadejia, Jigawa State.

The comptroller of NIS within the state, Alhaji Garba Abdul, disclosed this to newsmen while parading the suspect in Dutse on Tuesday.

Garba stated that the suspect injured one Suleiman Adamu of Kofar Gidan Talba within the Hadejia metropolis to death in 2008 and flee to his country, Niger.

The suspect who was arrested near Maigatari and Gumel, a border area between Federal Republic of Nigeria and Niger Republic ran out of luck when officers and men of the NIS on patrol comprehended him at the border.

Garba said charms and different concoctions were found on the suspect.

However, upon interrogation, the suspect said; “I had a misunderstanding with the deceased and we fought at a political rally in 2008 during former Gov. Ibrahim Turaki’s regime.

“I committed the offence out of anger, I am therefore appealing for leniency because I am not mentally alright,’’
