N3.6million Retrieved From Robbers Missing In Enugu Police Station

According to a new report, Enugu State Police Command allegedly recovered N8million from robbers who tried to rob a bank at Nsukka, meanwhile, N3.6million was reported missing from the N8million kept in police custody.

The State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Danmalam, said: “I will investigate the matter and give you feedback please.”

"The robbery happened in June, 2018 when a MOPOL guarding a bank behind Total filling station at Nsukka noticed that a robber, he then called for back-up from a close by police station.

The thief who was a newly recruited security man in the bank was caught with two bags containing N8million while he tried escaping the policemen and was eventually shot on one of his legs.

The robber and the N8million was taken to their station. The thief who later confessed at the police station that he was hired as a security man in the bank a month ago and he also robbed the bank alone. When the police officers called the bank to collect the recovered money, they discovered that N3.6million was missing."
