Man Arrested For Killing Wife During Fight In Anambra

A man known as Chinasa Nnorom has allegedly killed his spouse through a fight that ensued between them in Nnewi, Anambra State.

His wife, Juliet Ogbodo, was stated to have died during the fight with her husband.

Nnorom revealed to have engaged his spouse during a fight following a quarrel that occurred on Saturday, however shortly when the couple were separated, the spouse started puking blood, and foaming in her mouth.

It was gathered that following the incident, she was rushed to a hospital in Otolo Nnewi, not too far from her home, but was confirmed dead by a medical doctor on duty.

Sources said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue, and awaiting autopsy.

The Anambra state Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Haruna Mohammed confirmed the incident, saying that Police detectives attached to CPS Nnewi division have visited the area.

“Our men were there and photograph obtained and Suspect arrested. Case is under investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution,” he said.
