Oyo State Government Denies Demolishing Yinka Ayefele's N800million Music House

It is no more news that the N800million 'Music House' belonging to the popular gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele was demolished, but the current news about the ugly incident was the denial by the Oyo state government who claimed to know nothing about the issue.

The Lawyer to the Oyo State Government, Chief Yomi Alliyu, SAN, revealed to court that his client didn’t know anything about the demolition of Music House in Ibadan.

Ayefele in a bid to stop the illegal demolition of his property took the state government to court over the notice and ultimatum issued to him last Monday.

The court had fixed today for commencement of hearing in the matter. Meanwhile, 24 hours to court proceedings, the building was demolished by the state government which resulted to heavy criticism on the part of the government.

At the hearing today, Alliyu said the government is unaware of the demolition, informing the court that the client will soon set up a panel of inquiry to look into the matter.

Alliyu assured that the government will speed up work to ascertain who demolished the structure before the adjourned date.

The court later adjourned hearing till September 12, 2018.
