A 23-Year-Old Admission Seeker Killed By Cultists In Ondo

Tragedy smitten over the weekend in Ondo state as a 23-year-old admission seeker, Felix Olowookere, was brutally killed by suspected cultists believed to be students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA.

Based on the report, the father of the deceased, Mr. Olowookere, said the incident occurred when the family was away for Sunday service for thanksgiving ceremony of their newly wedded daughter on Saturday.

This he revealed to newsmen that his son, who used to repair phones and laptops, was killed by one of the students who was owing the deceased N3,500 in connivance with some cultists.

The deceased, who was stabbed with a broken bottle, was said to be seeking admission into Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko before his untimely death.

Confirming the incident, the Police Area Commander for Akoko, Mr Razak Rauf said those involved in the killing were now at large, but that the police is on their trail and will soon apprehend them.

Meanwhile, the corpse has been deposited at the mortuary of Ikare Akoko specialist hospital.

The incident has forced youths to embark on a protest in the university town.
