Whenever she is traveling, she doesn't take her car. Fast forward today ,she needed to visit a neighboring town (OWO) so she told me when she gets there she will call me which she did.

On coming back, she had already gotten to Akure,then she highlighted a taxi which contained 3men , two at the back( probably Hausa or Fulani) we don't kwow ,then the driver which was definitely a yoruba.then she exchange few conversations with the men,giving them direction to a place.

She became suspicious because the man didn't pick anybody else ,even though they were going the same way....just few minutes, drive the driver told my mom that the Hausa guys r money exchangers ,and they are willing to give her tfare for her good gesture which my mom refused... The driver later told her if she can follow them to the location, promising to give her some dollars.

She told them she needed to drop house key in her shop that they should wait just for a min, got down and went to a random shop ,immediately she told some guys the situation but those guys weren't smart ,they just went straight to the car.The driver saw them coming zoomed off immediately......

My Grandmother Behind My Ordeal And Why I Lied That My Father Was Dead — Amputee Hawker Clarifies, Begs For Forgiveness

Mary Daniel, the amputee hawker who has recently been accused of not being completely truthful about her condition, has apologized to Nigerians.

The 27-year-old single mother received N25million donations from Nigerians who were moved by claims that she lost her leg in an accident that claimed the life of all passengers, including her parents.

However, it's been claimed that there was no accident and she was amputated "from birth", a claim she denies. It was also reported that her father is still alive.

Speaking to SaharaReporters, Mary said she made a mistake by saying her father was dead, but she did so because the man abandoned her.

Mary denied claims that her presence in Oshodi was staged to garner sympathy.

She said she's been hawking for a while to make ends meet.

She explained that she used to hawk in Onitsha, Anambra state, from where she moved to Asaba in Delta state and then to Lagos.

She also denied claims that she had been receiving strange calls from the people who staged her story as they want their share of her fortune.

She told SaharaReporters that it was her maternal grandmother who had been making the calls to demand for money even after she sent her N200, 000.

As for lying about being in an accident, she claimed there was nothing to lie about as it's obvious she is an amputee who lost a leg.

She said: "My father abandoned me since I was involved in this accident, there was no one to take care of me, nothing! That was why I said he's dead. But my mother is truly dead. I had an accident truly; I was not amputated from birth.

"It was my grandmother that called me that she does not have anything, that if I have, I should send it. I said let me give her small money so she can use it to manage herself for now. I wanted to send N100, 000, I sent N200, 000 instead. She called me and asked why I sent her such a meagre amount, that, do I think she doesn't know what's going on, that how will people be contributing money for me and all I do is to send N200, 000.

"She said I'd rather send more money or she will expose me and I will go back to selling pure water. I was shocked and asked what sort of thing is this. She's my maternal grandmother, she is really old.

"My aunties and uncles from my mother's side are the ones pushing my grandmother into this and if she continues like this, later she will regret it. I have told her to calm down that I will take care of her but she refused. She is busy following her children around, making videos, that's their business.

"Nigerians should forgive me. People that stay on the streets and in noisy places, they hardly have a settled mind and I said my father is late so Nigerians can help me. I made a big mistake; Nigerians should please forgive me.

"I want to open a supermarket in Lagos. I have always been a pure water hawker. Lagos is not the first place, I started from Onitsha, from there, I sold pure water in Asaba from there I came to Lagos. I don't beg, even in my condition, I hawk that water so I can survive. That's the business I have always been doing.

A 47-year-old drug trafficker, Chigbogu Ernest Obiora, has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Spokesperson for the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, said on Friday that Obiora was subsequently put under observation during which he excreted 97 wraps of cocaine with a total weight of 1.55 kilogrammes with a street value of N360 million.

“He was arrested about 1:16pm on Sunday, April 25, 2021, during the inward clearance of Ethiopian Airline. He had arrived Lagos onboard the airline from Entebbe, Uganda via Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia,” Babafemi said.

The Commander of the NDLEA at the airport, Ahmadu Garba said, Obiora was intercepted in the E-arrival hall of the airport by the operatives of the agency on the suspicion that he ingested drug substance.

He said, “The suspect was taken for body machine scan and the result was positive for ingestion of substance suspected to be an illicit drug. The suspect was promptly moved to the NDLEA excretion/observation facility.”

Barely an hour after he was arrested, Obiora was said to have excreted 31 wraps of cocaine weighing 500grammes and another 47 wraps (750 grammes) in the evening of same day while 19 wraps (300 grammes) were excreted the following day, Monday, April 26, bringing the total to 97 wraps, that is, 1.55kg.

Babafemi said under interrogation, Obiora claimed he was promised $1,500 if he successfully trafficked the drugs, adding that he opted for the ‘deal’ because he needed money.

“I did it so that I will be capable of feeding my family. I was living in Madagascar but due to the COVID-19 and the lockdown in the country, I couldn’t go back to my place of work.

“There was a time I started lacking money to feed my family and to pay my children’s school fees and the worst part of it is to pay my rent. So, I decided to take the option to do it,” he said.

Obiora reportedly said he never knew he could be arrested while stating that he has never met the real owner of the drug.

“I don’t know him, they contacted me on phone and asked if I can do the business,” he claimed.

Meanwhile, in continuation of efforts to dismantle all drug spots, the Ondo State Command of the NDLEA has raided two joints, arrested two dealers, and seized 80.2 kilogrammes of skuchies, while four hectares of cannabis farms were destroyed in the Eleyewo area of Akure south local government.

The acting commander of the agency in the state, Callys Alumona said a lady, 31-year-old Ibukunoluwa Kemi, and a 25-year-old young man, Oluwaseun Sunday were arrested with 78kg and 2.2kg of skuchies respectively.

Men of the Ogun State Police Command and the Yoruba Nation agitators clashed on Saturday after 11 of the agitators were arrested for defying the police ban on the mass rally in Abeokuta.

The rally held jointly by two groups – Ilana Omo Oduduwa and Omo Kootu Ojire Omo Oduduwa Atata – took their procession around Abeokuta in defiance to the police order, barring the demonstration.

Out correspondent gathered that the rally which started around 9am was disrupted by security operatives who took over the streets of Abeokuta in order to stop the rally.

Police helicopter was also sighted hovering over some areas in the state capital.

The police operatives stormed the Alake Palace where the agitators converged for the rally and arrested eleven agitators.

This reportedly led to a clash between the agitators and the police officers around the Eleweran area when the proponents of secession demanded release of their members.

It was gathered that the police later released those arrested on the order of the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun.

Our correspondent also learnt that the agitators on their way back from Eleweran, allegedly attacked some policemen on the road, injuring a number of them.

Speaking with newsmen, the Publicity Secretary of Omo Kootu Ojire Omo Oduduwa Atata, Ibukunoluwa John, described the rally as peaceful and violent-free.

John said, “The rally started exactly 9am and ended 4:30 pm and ended without violence. We were not part of any violence or hijacking of police rifle.

“We want to tell the public that we are not part of anything that is violent today. We had our rally. It was peaceful and nothing like violence.”

Also corroborating the spokesperson for Omo Kootu Ojire Omo Oduduwa Atata, the Media and Communications Secretary, Ilana Omo Oodua, Maxwell Adeleye said the release of the arrested agitators was as a result of the surging crowd of Yoruba men and women moving towards Eleweran Police Headquarters.

Reacting, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, accused the agitators of launching unprovoked attacks on the security operatives.

Oyeyemi said the agitators attacked the police headquarters in the state and some policemen on duty.

He confirmed that eleven of them were earlier arrested for unruly behaviour at Alake Palace and were later released on the order of the Commissioner of Police in the state.

The PPRO however lamented that despite the release of their members, they still went ahead to attack their men at More junction not far from the police headquarters.

Simple Ways to Answer Tricky Interview Questions
A couple of years ago, my idea of a job interview was being in front of a hard, unsmiling panel and having extremely difficult questions thrown at me, like rocks. However, when I got invited for my first interview, I realized this is not always the case.

A job interview does not have to be tense. In fact, you may find yourself with a very friendly panel, who will go all out to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

However, irrespective of the size and manner of the panel you are faced with, what is required of you is confidence and of course, the appropriate answers to every question you are asked. This part is what’s tricky.

So, in this post, we’d be looking at the simple ways to answer 5 tricky questions you are likely to get in your job interview.

1. Tell Me About Yourself.

This question seems very straightforward. Usually, the first you’d be asked in an interview. However, it is tricky because though it sounds like an invitation to tell your life story, it is not.

When asked the ‘tell me about yourself’ question, what the hiring panel is actually asking you is to tell them about yourself, as it pertains to the position you are applying for.

With this in mind, you should not begin to share generic information about yourself, your family or how many siblings you have. Rather, you could start with your name, academic qualifications, present skills and strengths, previous experiences as well as future professional aspirations. You should also feel free to ask the interviewers for clarifications, just in case there are specific information they’d like to hear about.

This question is tricky because you might be tempted to say everything you see yourself doing in five years and completely miss the mark. Like the first question, your answer should be much more professional than personal. What the hiring panel really wants to know is if you are going to stick with them and if you are worth the investment of training.

To answer this question, you could tell them how you think the job will provide you with so many opportunities, such that in 5 years, you’d be in a particular position within the organisation. You can also explain what value you hope to have added as well as how you could also have improved yourself professionally in that time.

The actor cum politician, Desmond Elliot has been trending on social media after netizens decided to blame him for any bad happenings in the country.

The online bant started as a joke following the actor’s comment about Nigerian youths last year. However, his name has continued to top the trend list as netizens continue to drag him into every posts.

In reaction to the viral “joke”, Toyin Abraham has appealed to Nigerians to stop the jokes because it is annoying.

In a now deleted tweet, she wrote,
