Wilfred Ndidi, Super Eagles star, reportedly emerges as target for Tottenham
Nigeria Spor Premier League side Tottenham are reportedly interested in Nigerian midfielder Wifred Ndidi and they are ready to go for his signature during the ongoing transfer businesses. Jose Mourinho and his wards failed to win any title last season and they were also unable to finish among the top four teams on the final League table. The former Chelsea manager wants to bolster before the start of the coming Premier League season so that Spurs can compete for titles. The National Orientation Agency has raised the alarm that some young people in Nasarawa State were forcing and harassing some COVID- 19 compliant residents to remove their face masks.
The Director - General of NOA , Garba Abari, stated this on Thursday in Abuja, while presenting the agency’ s observations and report on the 4th and 5th sensitization interventions against the coronavirus disease epidemic in Nigeria. Abari said , “ Our field officers especially in Nasarawa State have observed the activities of some youths who go about forcing people to remove their face masks because according to them, the virus is not existing .” He , therefore, called on government functionaries and the traditional institutions to work with the law enforcement agencies to curb the disturbing trend.

 The All Progressives Congress has said contrary to misgivings in some quarters about its commitment to fulfilling its campaign promise of restructuring the country, steps so far taken by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari ( retd.) , towards the implementation the report of 2014 National Conference and the report of the Nasir El - Rufai- led APC committee on true federalism was enough proof that restructuring has begun. This was contained in the September edition of the in -house monthly magazine of the APC , The Progressives . The piece was titled, ‘ Calm Down! Restructuring has begun’ and the e- copy of the magazine was accessed on Monday . According to the party successive administrations had wasted billions of taxpayers’ money to hold national conferences with the reports and recommendations of such conferences not implemented . The publication said unlike previous attempts which yielded little or nothing , Buhari has taken steps to implement part of the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference as well as those of the 2017 Governor Nasir El - Rufai-chaired APC committee on True Federalism, which came out with far -reaching recommendations . It said President Buhari has implemented recommendations including poverty reduction and social inclusion as well as economic diversification . “ With these aforementioned fundamental reforms being introduced into the nation ’s polity already in place, and with many more still in the pipeline , Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari is on the path of an irreversible political and economic rejuvenation. To the advocates of restructuring , calm down , the exercise has begun in earnest.” The publication added.

 The Bayer Leverkusen star will now undergo a medical and complete a switch to Stamford Bridge, with the move set to be announced in the next 24 hours Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz has been allowed special dispensation to leave the Germany national team camp to complete a £72 million ($95m) move to Chelsea . The 21-year-old, who was an unused substitute in Germany's 1-1 draw with Spain, is expected to be announced as a Blues player within the next 24 hours. Germany head coach Joachim Low opted not to use Havertz with his medical at Cobham Training Centre still pending as the Blues prepare to smash their transfer record and make him the most expensive German player ever.  Indeed, Leverkusen confirmed the news via social media on Friday, tweeting: "Kai Havertz has left the Stuttgart headquarters of the German national team to clarify matters surrounding a potential move to Chelsea. This took place after a discussion with Bayer 04 and DFB leadership." Chelsea have already agreed a five-year contract with Havertz, while the move is likely to reach Leverkusen's asking price of the player as achievable add-ons will bump the fee up to a possible £90m ($118m). Having left Germany, Havertz is now set to complete a move that has taken over a month to finalise as Chelsea moved without competition in a transfer window of aggressive spending. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were long considered to be the front runners to sign one of Europe's top young talents. But with Madrid's budgets limited after the coronavirus pandemic and Munich limiting themselves to just one big signing - Leroy Sane from Manchester City - it left the Blues willing and able to complete a deal. Leverkusen have already lined up their Havertz replacement by agreeing on a €28m (£25m/$33m) fee for Roma forward Patrick Schick.
