Owo Attack: MURIC seeks compensation for Fulani victims by D1ANA(f) : 7:59 pm On Aug 12, 2022

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), an Islamic human rights advocacy group, has called for compensation for the Fulani victims of reprisal attacks carried out following the attack on worshippers at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.

The Owo church attack angered locals who went on reprisal attacks, targeting some Fulani people in the community.

However, on Tuesday, August 9, the suspected attackers of the Catholic church were named and they were from Kogi State.

Following this revelation, MURIC's director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, on Thursday, August 11, urged Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to compensate the Fulani victims.

He said: "Those who lost property should be compensated. Some form of relief should also be provided for families of those who were killed among them."

MURIC also appealed to Nigerians to be circumspect, "to avoid jumping to conclusions and, most importantly, to stop ethnic profiling and hasty judgment."

"There are criminals in all tribes just as there are decent people everywhere. Tribes do not commit crimes. It is individuals who do," the MURIC director added in his statement.

We won't use force to rescue abducted train victims - Buhari by D1ANA(f) : 8:02 pm On Aug 12, 2022

The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has said that the federal government will not use force in securing the release of the remaining abductees of the ill-fated Abuja-Kaduna train.

Buhari who revealed this during a meeting with the representatives of the families of the victims at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday August 11, said they've weighed all options and concluded that the best way to bring all the victims back home safely was not to use force.

He also stated that the federal government is doing everything within its powers to ensure the safe return of the remaining captives.

The President said;

“I have been informed that at last count, there remain about 31 people in the hands of the kidnappers, and our determination is to work towards returning these 31 people to their families.

“It is understandable that emotions typically run high, we have received several suggestions about the deployment of lethal military force in extracting those still being held in captivity.

“This option has indeed been considered and evaluated. However, the condition to guarantee a successful outcome and minimize potential collateral damage could not be assured and therefore that course of action had to be reluctantly discarded.

“My primary concern is to get everyone released safe and unhurt.

“Each one of them will be hunted and pursued and spoken to in the language that they understand.

“Judging by the available reports to me and news that have begun emerging in the last few days, I will say they (security operatives) have heard this instruction and are responding appropriately.

“In the past couple of days, you must have heard about the number of terrorists neutralized by the military, and number of hostages freed. These efforts will not stop, or reduce.”

Buhari also said that several actions had been taken by government to bring succour to the affected families and to prevent a recurrence in the country.

Wike drags Atiku and Tambuwal to court over PDP primary by D1ANA(f) : 8:06 pm On Aug 12, 2022

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has sued the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar; and Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal over the conduct of the May 28/29 presidential primary of the party.

Wike and a PDP chieftain Newgent Ekamon are listed as the plaintiffs. In the originating summons, the PDP is listed as the first respondent while the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is the second respondent. Tambuwal and Atiku are listed as the third and fourth respondents respectively.

At the primary, Atiku polled 371 votes while Wike and Bukola Saraki garnered 237 and 70 votes respectively. Tanbuwal stepped down and asked delegates to instead vote for Atiku.

In the originating summons, Wike and his co-applicant asked the court to determine eight issues including whether the purported transfer of Tambuwal’s votes to Atiku by the PDP was illegal and void. The Governor and his plaintiff also asked the court to determine if Tambuwal lost his claim to votes the moment he stepped down for Atiku.

He asked the court to determine whether Tambuwal “having stepped down during the primaries ought to lose his votes.”

Wike and Ekamon argued that should these issues be determined in their favour, the court should grant nine reliefs including a declaration that the purported transfer of Tambuwal’s votes to Atiku be declared null and void. They are also asking the court to declare that the PDP acted negligently and in bad faith by assigning the Sokoto governor’s votes to Atiku at the primary. They prayed the court to “cancel the transfer of votes and a corresponding order restraining the 3rd respondent (Tambuwal’s) withdrawal in the primary was done after voting had commenced.”

The applicants also prayed the court to declare that the PDP and Atiku took undue advantage of Tambuwal’s withdrawal when they allowed the Sokoto governor to persuade delegates to vote for the former Vice-President in the primary.

In the court document, Wike and Ekamon also asked the court to order INEC to reject or remove Atiku from “its list of candidates in the 2023 presidential election.”

They are also seeking an order commanding the PDP to recount the votes of the primary that was held on May 28 and May 29.

Lastly, the applicants are seeking an order of the court “directing the 1st respondent (PDP) to declare the 2nd applicant (Wike), a presidential aspirant in the May 28 and May 29 primary as the winner of the aforesaid primary with a corresponding order directing the 1st respondent (PDP) to forward his name as the candidate to contest the presidential election in 2023.”

In a supporting affidavit he deposed to, Ekamon noted that he was a member of the PDP and attested to the fact that Wike won the presidential election. He maintained that Tambuwal withdrew from the contest after voting had commenced and directed that his votes be assigned to Atiku.

Suspected killer herdsmen lure cow buyers into forest and murder one by D1ANA(f) : 9:27 pm On Aug 12, 2022

Suspected herdsmen have murdered a man after luring him into a forest to purchase cows in Anambra state.

The victim, simply identified as Energy, was a native from Umunya in Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State. He and other people entered a forest in Aguleri (Anambra) with the intention of conducting business.

The victim needed a cow and was connected to a herder who instructed him to visit their camp to buy the cow.

To transport the deceased to Aguleri forest, a truck driver was hired.

The truck driver, who spoke in a viral online video, said: "We were on our way to see the cows, but we noticed we were going into the bush, and I may not have anywhere to reverse my vehicle.

"I told the herder but he insisted we keep going. We had just driven ahead a little when about 10 people came out of the bush with guns and attacked us.

"They grabbed me and my brother, and Energy ran away. They chased him while some were taking us into the bush.

"Later, my brother broke away and started running, so when they chased him, I found out that I was alone, so I ran to my vehicle and escaped. We later came back and found out that Energy had been killed."

Confirming the incident, the police in Anambra State said three herders have been arrested in connection with the killing of the man known as Energy.

Lagos state government disbands Ministry of Transport (MOT) enforcement team by D1ANA(f) : 9:46 pm On Aug 12, 2022

Lagos Ministry of Transportation placed an indefinite stop to the operation of its enforcement team, tagged M.O.T Taskforce.

In a statement, Sola Giwa, the Special Adviser to Governor on Transportation stated that the decision was made after an extensive appraisal and review of the enforcement teams under the Ministry of Transportation.

Giwa stated that the ban was part of measures to streamline Lagos State's transport enforcement activities to ensure that they are effective in accordance with international best practices. However, Giwa cautioned that drivers should not disobey traffic laws.

''The Special Adviser averred that Traffic Management and Transportation is a cardinal pillar in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, stressing that the readjustment of the enforcement strategy was to enhance service delivery to the people of the State.

He, therefore, enjoined the general public to report the activities of any unauthorised enforcement team still operating with the tag M.O.T Taskforce to the Ministry of Transportation for prosecution.

Appealing to Lagosians to cooperate with the State Government in its effort to improve the traffic situation across the metropolis, the Special Adviser gave an assurance that a lot is ongoing behind the scene to bring the much-desired change in the transport sector.'' the statement in part reads

Nigerian law permits harvesting of organs without owner's consent by D1ANA(f) : 6:15 pm On Aug 13, 2022

Professor (Dr.) Philip Njemanze, the Chairman of Global Prolife Alliance has revealed that Nigeria's 2014 National Health Act allows for the collection of organs without the consent of the person.

Njemanze, an International Academician of Science expressed concern that legalised organ poaching could cause the death of millions of Nigerians if the Act is not amended immediately.

He cited sections 13, 20 and 43, 47, 48, 51 53, 53, and 58 of NHAct 2014 as problematic sections of the Act. These sections should be amended to ensure the safety of Nigerians.

Senator Ifeanyi Okowa sponsored the National Health Act, which was then passed into law by the government of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Njemanze, who was formerly Chairman of the Catheter Medical Practitioners' Association and owner of Chidicon Medical and Research Center in Owerri, submitted a long submission to the National Assembly about the urgent need for amending the National Health Act. He stated that there are national security consequences if the Act isn't amended.

"We would like to draw your attention to the Statues of the National Health Act 2014 (NHAct) that permit Human Organ Trafficking and Poaching of Ovarian Eggs without consent that may lead to deaths of millions of Nigerians.

"We hereby warn that if the NHAct is implemented without the proposed amendments it will facilitate the operations of International Organized Criminal Cartel on Human Organ and Ovarian Egg Trafficking. On the other hand, if terminated now and the crime exposed, Nigeria would be saved!"

He alleged that there are foreign sponsors of the National Health Act 2014, and provided shocking details on the dangers of the Act.

He said: "The first part of this project in Nigeria would provide the human organs to keep the rich Western patients alive, until they succeed with the therapeutic human organ cloning. Organ cloning using embryonic stem cells is a projected big business worth 30 trillion US dollars (one-third of the world economy) for the Western economies within the next 5-10 years of operation!

"This is the anticipated Western Economic Recovery Plan of the G7 countries to get ahead of Asia. This program is supported by most Western governments and many billionaire investors deceptively projecting Billionaire Philanthropic works. How does this work? To clone a tissue like heart, you will need to collect the nucleus (that stores all its genetic materials) of the heart of the sick person and place it in a human ovarian egg obtained from a woman through IVF (in-vitro fertilization).

"The new cell is put in tissue culture to grow into a heart, which could be transplanted to the sick person. The process of transferring the nucleus to the egg is called Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer (SCNT). Has this worked? Yes! SCNT was applied in experiments of Dolly the Sheep derived by cloning. To perfect the SCNT process for therapeutic cloning, they will need millions of human ovarian eggs. It has been forbidden in all Western countries to collect the ovarian eggs of women for this experimentation.

"But the law like the British Embryology Law permits using human eggs from Africa and those of animals while banning the use of human eggs from Europe and America! It has been estimated that at least 100 million ovarian eggs poached from 10 million Nigerian women would be required annually for about 5 years.

"These Nigerian women will die shortly thereafter from complications of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome as a result of the multiple hormonal injections that stimulate the ovaries given at IVF Clinics. The ovarian eggs would be obtained through in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Women have to go for the procedure if they want to get pregnant or they are donating their ovarian eggs.

"The IVF Clinics in Nigeria are proliferating under the sponsorship of foreign owners using Nigerians as fronts for ovarian egg harvesting! What then would get Nigerian women to go for IVF? For this purpose, they instituted a massive vaccination program funded by the ‘Philanthropist’ billionaire and his related ‘reputed’ international and national organizations. The vaccination for polio and tetanus has at different times been coupled with ‘sterilizing agents’ even though denied by the international agencies, facts suggest otherwise.

"The billionaires bank-rolled the UN agencies for 20 years and staffed it with critical manpower working together to achieve this goal under the UN banner of deception that captivates most Nigerian officials! The billionaires own over 90% of the embryonic stem cell research companies. The ‘Philanthropic’ vaccine donations have laced common vaccines with infertility agent that reduces human chorionic gonadotropin (anti-HCG) to cause miscarriages. This has been done successfully with the tetanus vaccine and other common vaccines (see attached Talwar GP et al. A vaccine that prevents pregnancy in women (human chorionic gonadotropin/birth control vaccine) Proc. Nati. Acad. Sci. USA. 1994;91:8532-8536).

"The ovarian eggs could be poached through IVF after administering a set of hormonal injections. Faced with the challenge of bareness, Nigerian women will go for IVF, where 12 ovarian eggs could be poached and maximum of 2 used for trials. The rest are sold by IVF centres to Western laboratories working on embryonic stem cell research. According to the European Union report, Nigeria is the top country for export of human ovarian eggs (see attached Jana Tutkova, ‘Human Egg Trafficking in Europe’, European Policy Officer, Core 30th March, 2006).”

"About ten million Nigerian women could die in 2-3 years from the complications called Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (liver failure, kidney failure, cancers, infections, etc). These criminal actions must be protected by an enabling system law in Nigeria, hence the NHAct 2014, was designed to do just that in disguise. The so-called good statutes were framed as window-dressing to cover the main criminal statues."

2023 is not Peter Obi’s time – Melaye by D1ANA(f) : 6:49 pm On Aug 13, 2022

Dino Melaye (Presidential spokesperson for Abubakar Atiku’s campaign council) stated that 2023 is not the right time to bring Peter Obi of Labour Party.

He said 2023 was not Obi's time because Nigerians can't elect a president from Obi'.

Melaye says Obi doesn't have the necessary resources to unify Nigeria.

During an interview session on Channels Television, Melaye said this.

He said: “We can’t have a national president in Obi. This is not Obi’s time. He doesn’t have all it takes to unify Nigerians. The people making noise about Obi are not following him on social media. It’s euphoria.”

Former lawmaker claimed that Atiku was the only candidate to have updated his CV through recent obtaining a master's in Dubai.

Concerning the ruling APC, Melaye said: "You can't market what is not marketable" Atiku is coming in to remove those financial scavengers and economic cankerworms. APC officials are good in giving carpentry jobs to tailors."

I made an error: Lalong apologizes to Catholic bishops over comment about Pope by D1ANA(f) : 4:08 am On Aug 14, 2022

After referring to the Catholic Church and Pope in Nigeria during his interview about leading the campaign for the Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket of All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Simon Lalong from Plateau state has since apologized to them.

Lalong stated that as a Catholic, the Pope has not told him it was wrong for him to be the Director-General of APC's presidential campaign team.

Lalong wrote to Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji (President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria) on August 12th. He stated that he had made an error and realized that his comments were "embarrassment to the Catholic Church, particularly to the Papal Knights family."

He stated:

“I have followed with some shock and deep regret, the reactions that have trailed my appointment as the Director-General of the Campaign Council for the Presidential Candidates of our Party, the All Progressive Congress, APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Ibrahim Shettima.

“The appointment understandably was received with mixed reactions across the Christian community who genuinely feel aggrieved by the decision of our party to settle for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

“While many people commended me for the appointment and saw it as a way of remaining within the system to fight for our interests, others cast aspersions on it on the grounds that our faith had been insulted and denigrated.

“In the course of this, many of my opponents turned the issue into a political weapon with some spreading rumours and questioning the integrity of my credentials as a Catholic and a Papal Knight. In trying to make my case, I have granted interviews to justify why I believe that the appointment did not in any way undermine my commitment to the Catholic Church.

“During the week, in the course of defending myself, I had cause to make reference to my credentials as a Catholic and a Papal Knight. In the process, I made reference to the Holy Father.

“I now realise that this was an error on my part and has caused some level of concern and even embarrassment to many especially the Members of the family of Papal Knights to which I belong.

“I now understand that I may have overreached myself in the course of trying to defend my personal decision in accepting this appointment and thus, the reference to the holy father was not intended as an act of disrespect to his exalted and revered office.

“Your Grace, by this written letter, I wish to tender my unreserved apologies and ask for their understanding and forgiveness from my brothers in the Catholic faith and, through you, the entire members of the Bishops’ Conference, our Fathers and our Leaders. My commitment to the Catholic faith to which | belong remains unreserved and undiluted.

“I will continue to uphold the banner of my faith in public life as I have done over the years. You may recall, Your Grace that in the last five or so years, I have been at the forefront of facilitating our dialogue as politicians with you our fathers in the faith. I remain committed to this and pray that you will continue to encourage us as we ascend the slippery slope of politics. While soliciting your episcopal blessings.”

I love myself the way I am and that is the most important thing. It is the love you show to yourself that will radiate to other people, and they will love you the way you are. There have been a lot of misconceptions about me, but that's their problem. There is freedom of expression and people can say what they want. What is important is to know yourself and stick to what you do, and you would prosper."

He shared some tips for protecting marriages from dissolution. "What is important is that, there must be a clear understanding between the couples. Learn to be friends and be open to each other. No one should feel more superior to the other. See yourselves as one, and tell yourselves everything. You will definitely fight and argue. Of course, that's certain but be sure that after the argument, both of you reach a conclusion. Solve your problems indoor; everything should not be put on social media. Keep a low life and be open with your spouse. My wife and I both write all the things we want and do not want, exchange them, read them out to each other, and make sure that we keep to them. With this, we get to know each other better."

The actor spoke out about his views on divorce he said, "Whatever is becoming a threat to your life, if it's your peace of mind or mental health, then there is no need to be together."
