WILMINGTON, Del (Reuters) - President Joe Biden, who fractured his right foot while playing with one of his dogs in November, has healed from the injury and will return to his usual exercise regimen, his physician said on Saturday.

"The president received routine follow up X-rays today. Both small fractures of his foot are completely healed," said Dr. Kevin O'Connor. Biden's fractures were reported to be relatively mild based on earlier statements from his doctor.

Earlier in the day, Biden visited the Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists for a 10 week post-injury exam.

Biden sustained the injury playing with Major, one of the first family's two dogs, who was adopted in 2018. They also have another dog, Champ, who joined the family after the 2008 election.

As the oldest U.S. President ever to assume office, Biden's health is closely watched by allies and opponents alike.

Re: Herdsmen started raping our women, destroying farms in 2015 – Abia monarch by Ceo(m) : 8:36 pm On Feb 12, 2021

This is just too bad and wicked, how long will all these going to continue. The federal government needs to quickly look into this so that there will not be further jungle justice from both parties. Nigeria belongs to all of us and there should be set rules to put an end to all these menace
atoluwash:

A former chairman of Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM, Eze John Onuoha Akaliro, has cleared the air that he was not detained by the state Commissioner of Police, Jane Agbede.

However, the royal father disclosed that though Ozuitem people did not kill any Fulani cow, the community women were raped, others had their fingers chopped off and farm crops destroyed by the Fulani herdsmen.

The Obasiukwu 1 of Umuobasiukwu Kingdom in Bende LGA stated this on Thursday at his palace while narrating the ugly experience of his community to The PUNCH.

He explained that the Fulani herdsmen before 2015 lived in peace with Ozuitem people, but regretted that after 2015, the herders became violent, destroying farms and rendering the local farmers poor with no harvest.

According to him, his community, being a peaceful one, wrote series of letters to the police and the Department of State Services on the activities of the Fulani herdsmen in his kingdom, which the two security agencies are aware of.

He added that penultimate Monday, the herdsmen had agreed to pay farmers compensation, only for his subjects to be invited by the CP and detained for five days.

Few hours to the compensation to be paid by the said Fulani, some cows belonging to the Fulani were allegedly killed somewhere in Bende area which he said, was not carried out by his Ozuitem subjects.

The royal father, however, expressed regret that five youths were detained by the the Abia State Police Command for five days.

He demanded an end to open and night grazing in his community in line with Abia State Government’s anti-grazing law, for a lasting peace and economic survival of his subjects to be sustained.

Re: Rivers teachers protest, demand five-year unpaid salaries by Ceo(m) : 9:01 pm On Feb 12, 2021

Just imagine this act of wickedness and shame meanwhile the governor was out yesterday declaring twenty million naira each to make life better for the state football clubs while the very important facet of the state education is left to suffer, one will begin to ask the kind of leaders we have in this country. Pleas, Mr governor kindly pay these teachers their salaries to enable them take care of their needs
jadoo51:

TEACHERS of primary and secondary schools in Rivers State Government-owned tertiary institutions have cried out over the non-payment of their salaries running into five years.

The affected teachers are from the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Demonstration Secondary School, Ndele; Rivers State University International Secondary and Staff School, Port Harcourt; and the Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic Comprehensive Secondary School, Bori.

The teachers numbering over 250 at a joint media briefing with the Rivers State Civil Society Organisation in Port Harcourt allege that their salaries were stopped on the 18th of February 2016 by the state government.

They claimed that a government directive was issued that names of the affected teachers be expunged from the state government salary voucher.

They, however, appealed to the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, to urgently pay the salaries and the accruing arrears to enable them to cater to their families and health needs, saying they were facing untold hardship in the last five years.

“If you look at where we are now, it is like saying that we are almost dead. Many of my colleagues are suffering from one ailment or the other. We are pleading with the governor; we are all Rivers sons and daughters and that he should please reconsider and pay us,” an affected female teacher said.

On his part, one of the male teachers (names withheld) said, “It has been difficult for us to carry on with our families. Some of our children are out of school, so also others. The governor is our father; let him come to our aid and remove this shame from our faces.”

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organisation, Eneefa Georgewill called on the governor to urgently respond and clear the affected teachers’ salaries.

Re: Four Oyo LG boss abductors, kidnapped farmer’s killers arrested by Ceo(m) : 9:15 pm On Feb 12, 2021

They should be taken to the law court and be persecuted so that it will serve as warning to others who could be planing to commit this kind of crimes. There is a saying that goes like this "no pain no gain" I don't know why most of our youths lack patience in struggling to succeeding in life rather than resolving to kidnapping
atoluwash:

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested some members of a gang allegedly involved in killings, kidnappings and other atrocities in the Ibarapa area of the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko, led other top police officers to parade the suspects and others arrested by men of the command in Ibadan on Wednesday.

The CP said, “On January 2, 2021 at about 7.55pm, some members of a notorious kidnapping syndicate, who have been terrorising members of the public in the Ibarapa area of Oyo State, invaded Subawah Filling Station located along Idere road, Igboora with sophisticated firearms such as AK-49 rifles, cutlasses and other weapons. In the course of the attack, the kidnapper shot sporadically in different directions and in the process, two young girls who were later identified as Bababtunde Omowumi and Toriola Kudirat, were hit by stray bullets and died on the spot.

“The suspects whisked her (owner of the filling station) into the bush, where they brutally murdered her after shooting at her several times in the stomach.

“The three deceased victims were later deposited at a morgue by policemen from Igboora division and upon the conclusion of their preliminary investigation, the case was transferred to the monitoring unit for diligent investigation. No sooner was the case received than a team of crack police detectives swung into action and arrested nine suspects from their hideouts.

“On January 5, 2021, further investigation revealed that one of the prime suspects, Jare Mohammed, inserted his SIM card Number 07086824526 on the Nokia phone belonging to the deceased, Alhaja Adisa Sherifat, which was carted away during the armed robbery operation that claimed her life.”

Apart from the suspects, the CP said the police also arrested the hoodlums who abducted the Chairman of Iganna Local Council Development Area of the state, Mr Jacob Adeleke.

The council boss was kidnapped with his driver on the Okeho-Ado Awaye Road and ransom was collected before he was released.

The CP said the council boss was invited and he identified his abductors.

Onadeko said, “The suspects confessed to kidnapping the Chairman of Iganna LCDA, Adeleke Jacob Olayiwola, along the Iganna/Ado Awaye Road and subsequently dispossessed him of all his personal effects and a ransom sum of N5.5m. The victim vividly identified the suspects who confessed to the crime.”

She identified the suspects as Babuga Mohammadu, Rabiu Mohammadu, Usman Mohammed and Aliyu Mohammed.

Also, Onadeko said the suspected kidnappers of a farmer, Oluwole Agboola, were arrested.

She said the hoodlums invaded Agboola’s farm in the Akinyele Local Governnent Area and took him to an unknown location.

She explained that the hoodlums contacted the family and collected N1,640,000 and yet murdered their victim in the bush.

She identified the suspects as Dahiru Usman, Muhammadu Ahmadu and Ibrahim Mamuda.

Re: ‘I’m so disappointed with this man’ Georgina Onuoha Berates Mike Bamiloye by Ceo(m) : 9:23 pm On Feb 12, 2021

Please don't condemn this man of God if his advice doesn't suit your beliefs or advocacy concerning this matter "park well" and let other women of your folks reason on it
atoluwash:

Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has slammed pastor mike Bamiloye for advising women not to join feminism.

The clergy in a social media post advised single ladies to avoid joining the feminism movement as they will miss God’s purpose for their life.

Also advising the married, the clergy said, the quest for feminism will not make them get the best out of their marriage as they will be contesting the home’s head.

However, displeased with the statement, Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha took to social media to lambast the clergy, saying he has indirectly enjoined feminism due to his wife’s role in their movie ministry.

The actress wrote: These are the kind of teachings and preaching from men of God that are suppose to be spiritual leaders are teaching Nigerians, yet we wonder why women in Nigeria are seen as commodities, properties and are constantly abused by the society.

Yet this same pastor has enjoyed the dividends of feminism because we all watched his wife growing up as a part of his ministry.

I hope someone tells him that his wife being able to have a voice and be part of his production is the textbook definition of feminism.

I pray he understands that his daughters are as important as his sons and as such should be treated equally and accordingly.

It is teachings like this that has dimmed the light of so many women in Nigeria, because they cling to the words of their pastors while denying themselves the abilities to attain their full potential.

Demanding equal pay, same respect, right to lead and be heard is not a sin..

The Bible never taught any of us that.
So many pastors continue to take advantage of the scriptures, perverting it to soothe their own fragile masculinity.

Women, demand what is due you, honor your father and husband but never let anyone tell you you are not enough not even your pastors.

Any woman wanting To claim head of the family is sick upstairs, hence the head can not stand without the neck.

If you are a man or woman that wants his or her daughter to be treated differently because of her gender.. raise up your hand.
It is because of such teachings that our girls and women have been reduced to kayamata.

Re: Rio Ferdinand's wife, Kate reveals how she once packed out of his house by Ceo(m) : 7:39 am On Feb 13, 2021

All the best bro
atoluwash:

Kate Ferdinand, wife to Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has revealed how she packed out of the footballer's house after going through an "incredibly difficult time" trying to 'replace' his late wife and pretending to be happy while taking care of his kids.

Kate, 29, opened up about the struggle she went through after moving in with Rio and his three kids, Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12, and Tia, nine, who he shared with his late wife, who died from cancer.

While she was getting used to Rio Ferdinand recovering from his wife's loss, he then lost his mum Janice, two years after the death of his wife. Kate has now come out to explain how it all became too much for her.

She told You magazine: "I cried every single day for a year when I first moved in with Rio. It was an incredibly difficult time...

"Nothing in the house was mine; everyone called it 'Rio’s house'.

"All the photographs were of Rebecca and the children. I had no place. I remember after six months becoming obsessed with wanting Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose soap that I always have at home, just to have a smell I knew.

"I bought a bottle and put it downstairs but it got taken away. As stupid as it sounds, that crushed me, but what was making me feel more isolated was if I said those things out loud people would think I was pathetic and selfish."

Kate went on: "I lost myself. I felt as though I was acting all the time, trying to smile and learn to cook and be this perfect woman.

"When I’d cook something, someone would say, 'Rebecca didn’t do it like that', and I’d smile but inside I’d feel crushed."

Thankfully, Kate and Rio worked things out, got married in 2019, and she now has a child for him.

She is also now a loving stepmother to the children, and the way their relationship blossomed was captured in moving BBC documentary Rio and Kate: Becoming A Step Family.

Rio, 42, credits filming the documentary for helping them work through their issues.

He said: "I realised that if I wanted to make it work, we needed help. And doing another documentary could help us by finding answers."

"There ain't no manual on how to be a step-mum," Rio said in the doc as Kate confessed that all she wanted was for the kids to be happy.
