The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that 205 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded in the country yesterday March 13.

The health agency gave a breakdown of the new cases as follows; Ondo-33, Lagos-25, FCT-22, Bauchi-21, Akwa Ibom-15, Kaduna-14, Katsina-13, Ogun-13, Rivers-11, Edo-8, Ekiti-4, Imo-4, Kano-3, Nasarawa-2, Niger-2.

There are now 160,537 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country and 2,013 deaths have been recorded. 144,714 patients who recovered from the disease have also been discharged.

Hip Hop star, Sean John Combs, also known by the stage names Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, has congratulated Burna Boy on his Grammy Award.

At the 63rd Grammy Awards on Sunday, March 14, the Nigerian singer won his first Grammys with the album 'Twice As Tall' after being nominated for the 'Best Global Music Album ' category.

His Twice as Tall album won the award over records by Antibalas (FU Chronicles), Bebel Gilberto (Agora), Anoushka Shankar (Love Letters), and Tinariwen (Amadjar).

In a congratulatory message on Instagram, Diddy, who was one of the executive producers of the Album, wrote: "YOU DID IT KING!!!!!!!!! @BURNABOYGRAM #TWICEASTALL."

NBA YoungBoy Louisiana rapper, has been arrested and kept in FBI custody after fleeing from officials of Los Angeles Police Department who attempted to pull his car over for an outstanding federal warrant.

The rapper didn’t pull over when flagged down by the security operatives, prompting a short pursuit which ended with the rapper trying to flee on foot.
TMZ reported that the cops set up a perimeter and brought in a K-9 which sniffed out YoungBoy. He was arrested and taken into custody around 1 p.m on Monday March 22.

A firearm was also found in the vehicle but it is unclear if it belongs to the rapper. Back in September, the Baton Rouge rapper was among 16 people arrested on drug and firearm charges in Louisiana.

The Federal Government has raised an alarm of an alleged racketeering of COVID-19 vaccine in the country.

Abdullazzi Abdullahi the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, who disclosed this at the joint national briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, alleged that some people are selling their vaccination slots.

Abdullahi noted that everyone will be vaccinated and also averred that testing rates will be sustained to ensure that positive cases are identified, isolated and treated.

He said;

“Everyone will be vaccinated free and everyone will eventually be vaccinated. There is no need to pay to be vaccinated.

“We are sustaining distribution of available commodities, PPEs and consumables to ensure availability at all times for end users at treatment centres."

The Pop singer, Cynthia Morgan clashed with a Twitter user who gave his unsolicited opinion about her “stunted growth” in the musical industry.

The Twitter user with the handle, @kingezzy tweeted that she would have been a female dancehall export out of Africa but she was rather messed it up by her lifestyle.

”Cynthia Morgan would’ve been the biggest female dancehall artiste export out of Africa… but her label & lifestyle fucked her up.” – he tweeted.

The Pop singer queried to find more about her lifestyle from Twitter that affected her musical growth.

Unfortunately, his further reply wasn’t convincing enough to her.
