It's becoming alarming the increase in food insecurity in our environment and this has been costing us more; (i) by reducing our purchasing power i.e plenty money buying few goods, especially on basic food items e.g yam, pepper, rice, fish, meat and tomatoes etc. (ii) our daily nutritional value is also reduced, when our daily nutritional value is reduced, this may expose us to more health challenges and also reduce productivity within the society. healthy living is good for everyone.
To achieve an excellent nutritionally healthy life, we must find a sustainable solution to food security, and this begin with me and you.
There are various ways to achieve sustainable food security within our space. Trainings on our to manage both livestock and crops will be open for discussion regularly.

Withholding Tax

• WITHHOLDING TAX (WHT) is an income tax deductible at source on specified transactions, such as building, construction, commission, dividend, interest, royalties, rent, agency, contract of supply, technical services, consultancy services, legal services, Audit services and professional services.

• WHT is charged at 5% -10%.

• WHT deducted from companies, remittance is due to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) within 21 days after the duty to deduct WHT arose.

• WHT deducted from individuals and unincorporated entities, remittance is due to the State Internal Revenue Service (SIRS), within 30 days after the duty to deduct WHT arose.

• Failure to remit WHT due to the FIRS: a penalty of 10% per annum, in addition to 5% interest and interest at CBN’s lending rate on the principal tax.

• Failure to remit WHT due to SIRS: 10% of tax due, in addition to the principal tax and interest at the CBN monetary policy rate.
