The Police have broken their silence on the mob action against one of the pastors present at the unveiling of Kashim Shettima as Vice-Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election.

The victim who is a plumber was accused of appearing as a “fake bishop” at the unveiling of Shettima as Bola Tinubu’s running mate in Abuja weeks ago.

Reports say the victim was ‘apprehended’ presumably by supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, in a market in Dei Dei neighbourhood of Abuja.
