TOPIC: THEY LEFT EGYPT; EGYPT COULD NOT LEAVE THEM!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: NUMBERS 13: 1-10

1And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

3 And Moses by the commandment of the Lord sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.

4 And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.

5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.

6 Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.

8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.

If you are not careful, the past can be an enemy of the future; the good can be an enemy of the better, and even the better can be the enemy of the best. You must constantly be evaluating everything you do and one question you must seek answers to is this: Is this thing contributing to my mission and destiny in life?

If its not, stop it. Some things are LAWFUL but not EXPEDIENT (see 1 Cor 10: 23 now)! Drop them before they drop you! You need to learn the difference between things that are inmportant and things that are urgent. Some things are urgent but not important.

If you spend your life and time focusing on things that are urgent the important things will be neglected and you will suffer. Brian Tracy opined: “Spend eighty percent of your time focusing on the opportunities of tomorrow rather than on the problems of yesterday.

The pressure to look at the ugly things of the past is very great. But it is not greater than the thrill of thinking about the possibilities that tomorrow holds. As 2021 ends and 2022 begins, lay aside the weignts of yesterday and focus on the dreamns of tomorrow!

Focusing on the past will shape you to repeat the ugly things of the past. If you don’t want the past to repeat itself, you need to get your mind off the past. It cannot come back. There is little you can do to change it. The best thing you can do about yesterday is this: FORGET IT!

FORGET IT! FORGET IT! Hear John F Kennedy: “Those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. 2022 HAS MANY SUDDEN GOOD SURPRISES WAITING FOR YOU! Yes! The people of Israel missed the future God had for them because they could not get their minds off the past.

TOPIC: DON’T LET THE DEVIL TALK YOU OUT OF GOD’S BLESSINGS

BASIC SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 3:1-7

Man’s biggest problem started the day that the devil talked him out of God’s blessings. He came in the form of a serpent to Eve and asked him, ‘Has the Lord said that you should not eat of every tree of the garden? It was a harmless question but it was filled with the seed of deceit.

The woman entertained him and was eventually deceived into eating the fruit that God had commanded them not to eat. The devil told him, “In the day that you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be as gods, knowing good and evil” As 2021 ends, know this again: When you entertain the thoughts and suggestions of the devil, he will convince you to begin to think that you are not what God says you are.

He will convince you into doing something that God has instructed you not to do. He will do all he can so that you can dump your God-given blessings and His rich grace, and go for something lower. That is his strategy, and I don’t want you to be his victim anymore. Enough is enough.

If God says that you can have something, then go for it. Don’t settle for less. If God says that you can accomplish something then go for it. Don’t settie for less. No wonder Bruce Springsteen has this to say, “Dreams mean nothing unless you are strong enough to fight for them and make them come true.”

When God plants a dream in your heart, you can be sure that He is going to equip you with all that it takes to make that dream a reality. I want to encourage you today; never give up on your God-gIven dream. Never give up on the rich promises God has given you.

If He has said it, He will do it. He is not a failure, therefore, you will not fail. He is not a quitter, therefore, you must not quit! I see and can sense this: Something great is about to happen! Stop listening to that old b*st*rd devil. Pray now!

TOPIC: WHEN THE PRAISES GO UP…

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
2 Chronicles 20:17-23

17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.

18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord.

19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

One of the fastest ways to release the rich blessings of God upon you is to Iift up your voice and praise Him. Praising God when things are smooth and rosy is always very easy.

The true test of a man’s faith and trust in God takes place when things are tough and uncomfortable. When God says, “I have healed you and the doctor’s report says, you have twelve days to live, when God says that “you will be fruitful but the doctor’s report says that “your womb is damaged. You will never be able to carry a baby again.”

When you hear negative reports like these, what do you do? Do you give voice to faith, or do you let the negative report silence the voice of faith? As 2021 rolls to a glorious end, you need to learn the secret of praising God when all things seem to be against you AND NO MATTER HOW THE YEAR HAS BEEN. It’s the secret off champions.

They understand this: WHEN THE PRAISES GO UP, THE BLESSINGS COME DOWN! You can never praise God without experiencing His rich blessings. You can never praise God without experiencing the manifestation of His presence, love and power. The victory of Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah came on the heels of praise.

They had been attacked by two enemy countries and they were outnumbered by hundreds of thousands. But they used the power of praise, and God did not fail them. God will always show Himself strong on behalf of His people. ALWAYS! That delay is temporary! When you begin to praise the Lord and bless His name, confusion is thrown into the camp of the enemy and they will begin to destroy themselves!

As 2021 ends, learn to praise THE LORD and let Him fight your battles and win your victories! Never QUIT because PRAISE DOES NOT END IN SHAME! Hold on! Praise Him now!

TOPIC: WHO HAS THE FINAL SAY?

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 119: 83-91

83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.

84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law.

86 All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

God’s Word is established forever! He has the final say in every situation. You will never come up with a situation that will cause God to change His promises. His Word is forever settled in heaven! As far as He is concerned, nothing can stop His Word from coming to pass in heaven. The same thing should be happening on the earth. Jesus prayed; “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” If you will stand on His Word and trust Him without reservations, YOU WILL NEVER END IN SHAME!

The question you need to answer today is clear: “Who has the final say in your life? Whose word will be the final word? Will it be the Word of God or will it be the word of YOUR ARCH-ENEMY (the devil)?” When you refuse to give up under the pressure and temptations of the devil, then God’s Word prevails. You need to tell every circumstance or satanic delay boldly every day, “God’s WORD has the final say in my life. You will not triumph over me. God’s faithfulness is to all generations even unto me. I refuse to give up now or ever.” Yes! He will forever be faithful. It’s important that you refuse to get discouraged or allow depression, self-pity, or self-comparison to swallow you up. The fact that you don’t see anything happening does not mean that God is not working! It makes no difference how impossible your situation seems; God is greater and stronger! He is the God that HOLDS THE WILD WINDS OF THE EARTH IN HIS FIST and POCKETS all the OCEANS OF THE EARTH! Wow! He will turn things around for you. Ah! I see your greater testimony bursting forth in due season! Hold on and hold out!

TOPIC: FOLLOW THE DANIEL SECRET!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: DANIEL 2: 14-23

15 He answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.

16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.

17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:

18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:

21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.

It was David Steindl-Rast who penned: “In daily life, we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy.” Many are unhappy and depressed simply because they have not learnt the secret and power of gratitude. If you want to live a life of perpetual joy and excitement, you have to develop the habit and attitude of gratitude. In this last month of 2021, express your gratitude for everything at all times, no matter how seemingly little or insignificant it seems. Be grateful for the gift of 2021 and the gift of life! There is no way depression can dwell in a heart that is full of gratitude. Don’t allow DEPRESSION or SELF-PITY this month! Never compare yourself to others! Get your mind off your challenges and difficulties and get it fixed on the greatness of your God. Daniel would have spent time worrying about the death sentence on his head, but instead, he prayed and praised! That was the DANIEL SECRET! If you’re not focused on the greatness of your God, you will never be able to DO EXPLOITS like Daniel. COVID-19 or no COVID – 19, never stop being grateful. Someone said that there is always, always, always something to be thankful for. Take your eyes off what the devil is doing and fix them on what your God is doing. If it seems as if nothing tangible has happened this year, open your Bible and find out what He has promised. If Abraham could praise God for His promises, when he did not yet have his own child, then you and I too can praise God for His promises when it seems as if nothing is happening in the midst of DELAYS! Oh! Hear Brian Tracy: “Develop an attitude of gratitude and give thanks for everything that happens to you knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”

TOPIC: HE CAN TURN BITTER TO SWEET

BASIC SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 15: 22- 27

22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

God does not want any one of His children to languish in pain and bitterness. The people of Isreal had just been delivered from the threats and oppression of Egypt. They were singing praises unto God and then they ran out of water. They traveled for three days and but there was no water in sight. They reached a place and saw water but as they took out of it to drink, they found that it was bitter. Suddenly the water became BITTER! I decree today. As 2021 comes to an end and 2022 begins, anyone planning bitter water for your life, family, and ministry will DRY UP and RUN MAD in Jesus’ name.

Ah! The devil is a persistent curse! He never gives up! If there is anything to learn from him, this is it: never give up! Yes! If he never gives up, why should you who have the living God, the Creator of LUCIFER(the devil himself), and the Creator of the heavens and earth with you? You are not a failure, therefore you cannot afford to give up. The God that you serve is able to turn every bitterness into joy. He is able to ease every pain and bring you great comfort and peace of mind. Moses cried to the Lord and He showed him a tree which he cast into the waters and as he did so, the water turned into sweet. God turned things around for them! Get your heart assured of this: God is with you and He is able and WILL TURN every bitterness into sweetness! You will laugh again and again and He will turn you into A REFERENCE POINT OF HIS GOODNESS! Amen!

TOPIC: THE BEST IS AHEAD! BE EXPECTANT!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: MATTHEW 16: 15 -19

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of h3ll shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

LUKE 22: 31-32

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

The key to great achievement is great expectation! Charles ” Kettering puts it this way: “High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation. Whether you believe it or not, you will always rise or fall to the level of your expectation. Also, people will always rise or fall to the level of their expectations. If you expect the worst, you will almost always get the worst. Your expectation is revealed in your attitude opportunities as well as your attitude to challenges. If you expect the best always, you will always look out for the best in every situation. If someone comes to you with bad news, you will look at it carefully and pick out the good news in that bad news. Your expectation of people is also revealed by how you speak with them and how you speak about them. It was the great expectation that God had towards us that caused Him to give up His only begotten Son to die for our sins. Look at what Jesus did for Peter. He had great expectations of him and He backed it up with corresponding actions. He changed his name from Simon to Peter! Again. He interceded for Peter that he would not lose focus or fail Peter lived up to that expectation! After the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus, he became the leader of the apostles and helped to strengthen all of them and to achieve their purpose in God. The unstable Peter who was so scared to identify with Jesus to the extent of denying Him three times was bold to stand up and preach about Jesus to three thousand people. Wow! That was expectation! As 2021 ends, I want to challenge you to always remember that: YOUR BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD! God has great expectations/plans for you and your tomorrow will surprise your detractors in Jesus name! 2 Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

3 And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.

9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.

10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.

11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;

12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the Lord: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.

13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.

15 And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.

It is always important to make decisions at the right time. Many people wait until it is too late before they decide on what to do. I love what Rev. Robert Schuller says: “Never cut a free down In the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decision when you are in your worst moods, Wait. Be patient The storm will pass. The spring will come.” You need to leam the secret of making up your mind and sticking to your decision no matter what comes. You know that during winter all the trees are dry and you may never know which tree will grow back! So, cut trees only in summer when all the trees are blooming! You can know that the one you cut is cut. Oh! Don’t make decisions in ANGER or when you are DISCOURAGED The best time to make quality decisions is when you are not tired on mentally stressed out. Making quality decisions will require that you are not under any kind of pressure. Decisions made in times of stress and pressure are not always good decisions Saul was in that kind of position! People were shouting and pressurizing him from all sides. The enemy forces were advancing. He was scared and worried to death. He did not know what to do. He was tired of waiting for Samuel. In that time of pressure, he made up his mind, took an animal and sacrificed it, and set out for battle. That was his retirement day! God retired him instantly! Unfortunately for him, just after offering the sacrifice, Samuel arrived. Saul could just have waited for a few more minutes. But because of the tension, he caved in and made a poor decision. Samuel told him “You have done foolishly.” The foolishness of Saul was in caving in under pressure! Champions do not do that! As 2021 ends, if you want to fulfill your destiny in God, you need to resolve that you will never let DISCOURAGEMENT or DELAY pressure you into QUITTING! You need to have a strong backbone Hold on when others are giving up and make quality decisions at the right time and stick to them even when things go tough! You will NEVER end in shame! Vs 7 today’s scripture (KJV) says: “And Moses called unto Joshua and said unto him in the sight of all Israel “Be strong and of good courage: for thou must go with the people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them: and thou shall cause them to inherit.” Note the underlined words: “MUST” and “INHERIT” That means, WHETHER YOUR ENEMIES LIKE OR NOT, WHETHER SATAN AND THE GATES OF h3ll LIKE IT OR NOT YOU WILL INHERIT and POSSESS YOUR POSSESSIONS! DELAY IS NOT DENIAL! EVERY ALLOWED DELAY IS A NEW DIVINE DESIGN BY YOUR GOD! That is why you must NEVER QUIT! The word “MUST” means IT IS NOT NEGOTIABLE! Your testimony is not negotiable; your dancing season MUST come! Your HARVEST season and RESULT season of all your prayers MUST manifest! TOPIC: THERMODYNAMIC LAWS: CHILD DISCIPLINE IS A NECESSITY

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PROVERBS 23 : 5 -14

Thermodynamics is the field of science which deals with the relationship between heat and other forms of energy. The field has 3 important principles referred to as the 3 laws of Thermodynamics.

The 1st law known as the Law of Conservation of Energy, states that energy cannot be created or destroyed in an isolated system.

The 2nd law states that the entropy of any isolated system always increases.

The 3rd law states that the entropy of a system approaches a constant value as the temperature approaches absolute zero.

We will use the 2nd law for today’s devotion. Let’s pick 2 important words/things from the 2nd law- entropy and an isolated system. The word “entropy” means the degree of disorderliness. In physical science, an isolated system is either of the following: 1. A physical system so far removed from other systems that it does not interact with them 2.

A thermodynamic system enclosed by rigid immovable walls through which neither mass nor energy can pass. Lots of science, you will say. In simple terms, an isolated system is a system left to stand on its own, without interaction with other systems. If we put both of these 2 terms together, it simply means that if a system is left on its own, its degree of disorderliness (entropy) will increase.

Children are the heritage we get from the Lord, as we are told in the scriptures. “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward” (Psalm 127:3). As wonderful as children are, they can become a big challenge if not properly guided. They are like the 2nd law of thermodynamics- if left alone to themselves (isolated), their lives may end up in great disarray/disorderliness (entropy). This is why the Bible tells us in Verse 14 of today’s word, “Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.” If you do not correct your children when they do wrong, you are simply postponing the evil day. If you over pamper them, you may be inadvertently digging a pit for them. Correction is a sign of love. “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes” (Prov. 13:4).

In these modern times, many societies consider the use of the rod as a form of child abuse. Be that as it may, we must make a distinction between child correction/discipline and abuse. In literal terms, the rod does not necessarily mean a whip or cane; rather it refers to any legitimate measure or step taken with reasonable human behavior to put a child on the right track.

God expects every parent to put some measure of discipline to his/her child or children. This is a duty you cannot renege as a parent. Bear in mind that child discipline is a necessity. If you spare the rod, you spoil the child. GIVE OUT THE NEXT ODM TODAY OR THIS WEEK!

One of the reasons why Jesus kept attacking the Pharisees and Sadducees all through His Life is because THE ATMOSPHERE YOU TOLERATE will either INCREASE or DEMOTE you. You must realize that THERE IS AN ATMOSPHERE FOR MIRACLES! THERE IS AN ATMOSPHERE FOR THE HOLY Ghost to operate! That was why Elisha could not prophesy till a MINSTREL was brought to him. GUARD YOUR SHEKINAH ATMOSPHERE! Shekinah means GLORY! Not every atmosphere will release the glory! Some atmospheres and people around you are TOXIC and GRACE-KILLERS.” There are people you see and IMMEDIATELY your AURA clashes with theirs because they are from another kingdom. Not all friends will help your dreams! Some of your family members are SHEKINAH KILLERS! In their presence, be wise and talk less. There are people you meet and HOLY ANGER rises within you immediately. This is because they are SHEKINAH KILLERS! One of the Pharisees that even invited Jesus for dinner had the greatest regret because HE WAS SO NEGATIVE and the LORD did not spare him. Pastors, be vigilant! There are people in your pastorate/workers who are always NEGATIVE. Sideline them. Kingdom work is not for sympathy or grammar! Take action immediately and keep the atmosphere of the ministry POSITIVE and full of FÁITH! The same applies to business or career people! No wonder the LORD had to send some people away before He could raise JAIRUS’ DAUGHTER! In these two years 2021/ 2022, GUARD THE SPIRITUAL ATMOSPHERE of your life, family or ministry! GUARD YOUR SHEKINAH!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 33: 10 -23

11 And the Lord soake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp; but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

12 And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people; and thou hast not let me known whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Vs. 11 of today’s Word says: “And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.” This must be exciting to know that GOD CAN SPEAK TO AMAN FACE TO FACE (meaning, God was so friendly with him and appeared physically without actually showing His divine face, which no man can see and live!) In that regard, Moses was God’s friend just as Abraham was also called God’s friend (Isaiah 41:8). Deuteronomy 34:10 says: “And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face.” Then Numbers 12: 6 says: “And He said, ‘Hear now My words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make Myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream” Vs. 7 says- “My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all Mine house.” Wow! He says, I will not speak to Moses in dreams or visions but FACE TO FACE! Oh, halleluyah! But note this: Despite the fact that Moses was God’s friend, HE MISSED THE PROMISED LAND. So sad!

Do all you can NEVER to miss the FOURSQUARE CITY called heaven! If Moses could miss it, then anybody can! God’s friend saw God’s FIRE (ANGER)! 1 Cor. 10:12 says: “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” Use today’s devotional to do a check-up on your life, family and ministry! ANGER STOPPED MOSES! What is in you that can STOP YOU? Abraham, GOD’S FRIEND did not miss the PROMISED LAND, but he experienced an UNUSUAL DELAY!
