It’s no news that Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Lanre Gentry have been in the media lately no thanks to their troubled marriage.

Despite attempts by the couple to show to the world that rumours surrounding their marriage are exaggerated, the Nollywood actress has secured a restraining order against her estranged husband.

Lanre Gentry has now been ordered by a court not to come within one mile of Mercy Aigbe’s location at all times.

This came after a photo showing the actress’ face beaten to a pulp by her husband surfaced online.

Sources close to Mercy Aigbe’s camp told Thenetng that since the restraining order got to Lanre Gentry, he’s been pleading with a series of text messages.

‘He has been begging her in secret, but we are surprised to see that he is just denying the fact that he beat her up all over social media. He hasn’t seen the last of this,’ our well placed source said.
