Medical Doctor Arrested For Operating Baby Factory In Abuja

A medical Doctor conducting an illegal maternity and baby mill in Nyanya, area of Abuja has been arrested and his facilities sealed.

Mr. Josiah Emerole, spokesman of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), confirmed the action on Sunday in Abuja.

Based on the report, Emerole said that the Chief Medical Director of the baby mill was arrested a few weeks back by NAPTIP for allegedly swindling several women who were in desperate demand for babies.

He explained the illegal medical outfit, Akuchi Herbal Concept, is located on Old Street, in the Pure Water area, New Nyanyan, Abuja.

Based on him, the case had created public concern among Nigerians and notable relations of those sufferers.

According to the news gathering, it was reported that the operatives of NAPTIP last week arrested a 38-year-old herbalist, (names withheld) for allegedly deceiving women into thinking they're pregnant and converting other people's babies to money making avenue.

The defendant who is from Enugu State is the owner of Akuchi Herbal Concept and was arrested after weeks of diligent surveillance by a combined team of Officers of the agency and those of the Department of State Services.
