23-Year-Old Rukayat R*ped By Ade Ikudaisi, Known As 'Omo Iya Pupa While Coming From Sunday Service

23-year-old Busari Rukayat who claimed to have been coming from Sunday service was allegedly r*ped by land grabber in Ajegunle/Malato, Itaoluwo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

The r*pe victim, Rukayat stated that the defendant, Ade Ikudaisi, popularly called 'Omo Iya Pupa', was seated in front of his home as she passed and that when she greeted him, he extended his hands for a handshake after which he asked to send her on an errand.

Ikudayisi dragged her to his place and charmed her according to the victim, narrating the story farther, Rukuyat said that the defendant ordered her to unclothe and he supposedly put a conventional sash on her shoulder and a silver bead around her neck.

She claimed to have been made to step on several cowries and Ikudayisi allegedly murmured incantations on two kola nuts that he inserted in to her female parts.

As this was happening, her cries for assistance afforded no response as nobody came to rescue while her assailant also covered her mouth with a cloth.

The victim, who claimed to be a virgin at the time of the alleged r*pe, said she pleaded for mercy but could not get help she said, “I struggled with him till about 5pm but he overpowered me and raped me after which he threatened that I will bleed to death if I dared to expose him.

I kept this to myself for days until I was struck with a strange ailment which compelled me to open up to my parents”.

On hearing her story, the parents reported the incident at the Sagamu Road Police Station where officers were assigned to the alleged scene of crime for investigation.

However, on getting to the scene, it was learn that the policemen asked that the defendant should come along with them to the station but he excused himself to get dressed up until his escape through the back door.

It was learn that all attempts to follow him proved abortive.

Meanwhile, our reporter was referred to the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja where she visited the Sagamu Road Division.
