The moment former Chelsea midfielder, Micheal Essien was honoured with a frightful statue, his country man Asamoah Gyan is appeared to be the most recent Ghanaian footballer to acquire a similar sculpture of himself.

Gyan, that plays as a striker for Kayserispor in Turkey was spotted with his own dreadful statue in Kumasi, in tribute to his services for his nation.

A sports journalist, Saddick Adams based in Ghana said the sculptor who designed former Chelsea midfielder Essien's statue, erected another for the Black Stars skipper to honour him as the country's all-time top goalscorer, with 52 goals.
