Isreal oluranti, a 21-year-old man, was kept in police custody by the operatives of the Ogun State Police Control for allegedly killing his friend named Farooq olusegun.

Police spokesperson, Abimbola oyeyemi, who narrated what transpired base on his confirmation said the ugly incident occurred at Ope-Ilu part of Agbado in Ifo Local Government Area of the State. An argument sprang up between the two friends over a missing phone.

His words:

“This infuriated the suspect, consequent upon which he took one of the beer bottles around, broke it and stabbed the deceased on the chest,” Mr. Oyeyemi added.

He said the victim was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital but died in the way.
