A 16-year-old called Alaya Dotson of Denver, has allegedly killed her newborn infant by shoving a stone down her throat.

The young mother put the rock in the infant's throat an hour after giving birth, authorities said.

Police said Dotson maintained she was unaware of her pregnancy and realized she was giving birth while using the toilet in her house in September.

Dotson said after giving birth she took the newborn up to her room and put on the floor near the infant.
The teen told police that the baby girl's arms were "moving forth and back, but she wasn't crying."

Dotson reportedly told police that she wrapped the baby in a blanket and moved out onto her terrace where she put a stone in the newborn's throat, '' authorities said.
