In case you've ignored Microsoft's Windows 10 upgrades for the last few years, it is now time to it into consideration. Microsoft announced that it's no more rolling out quality and security upgrades to Windows 10 variant 1511, that was published almost two decades back in November 2015.



What is a quality upgrade?

There are two forms of Microsoft upgrades: attribute upgrades and quality upgrades.

Attribute upgrades include new features and performance and are usually released two times per year.

Quality upgrades offer security and reliability repairs and therefore are published monthly, normally on what's called Patch Tuesday, the second Tuesday of each month.

Open the Preferences program and select Update & safety. As an alternative, you may wait till next week and set up Windows 10 Fall Creators Update if it is published on October 17.

Well, your personal computer will continue to operate but you'll no longer get updates to patch up any holes that may leave you open to prospective security vulnerabilities. You'll be working, as they say, with no net.
