Welcome to the first day in this third quarter of the year 2017! I am led by God to use certain days of our devotional this quarter to motivate your life and ministry to greater heights in specific areas of your daily life. Today, heaven is: Determined To Do A Surgical Operation In Your Attitude To Life. Come Along Into The Theatre:
Your attitude and choices you make today will be your life tomorrow. Build them wisely! Listen to Brian Tracy: "You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude towards what happens to you and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you." Napoleon Hills wrote: "Life reflects your own thoughts back to you." Fulton J. Sheen was so blunt: "The mind is like a clock that is constantly running down. It has to be wound up daily with good thoughts." Did you get that? Oh! In this third quarter of 2017, develop a positive thought pattern daily! Hear William Ngwako Maphoto: "It is your disabled attitude that determines your disability and it is your disability that can or can't close opportunities in life for you." Roger Babson told his friends: "When we are flat on our backs, there is no way to look, but up." Even in failure and serious setbacks, be positive! Look up! When life knocks you on your knees, refuse to lie there. Turn it to your praying position! Oh, that you would never forget Thomas Jefferson: "Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goals and nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude." Don't miss Francesca Reigler: "Happiness is an attitude (a state of mind). We either make ourselves miserable or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same for all." Your attitude in life determines your ALTITUDE in life! Be like the Shunammite woman (today's scripture)! RESIST SATAN!

TOPIC: THE 90/10 PRINCIPLE
BASIC SCRIPTURES:
PHILIPPIANS 4: 6-13;
EPHESIANS 4: 26-27
To many people, life is a bore and cruel - there is constant stress, lack of joy and frustrated relationships. But God is determined to use the 90/10 principle to change you today! The principle says: "10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react to what happened to you." Did you get that? What this means is that we really has no control over the things that happen to us. You cannot stop the car from breaking down. You cannot prevent the traffic jam. You cannot control those who gossip about you. You cannot control those who choose to betray or disappoint you, neither can you control how or where you were born. You cannot control people from hurting or irritating you, neither can you control the plane, letter or late arrival for appointments. You may not be able to control your financial situation or your health. Yes, all these make up the 10% of your life. The other 90% is different! You determine that 90% by your reaction to what happened (the 10%). For example, someone comes late to a crucial appointment. You can shout, fuss, curse, get angry, get worried or even cancel the deal. Such reaction can make you commit sin through your words, lose a promising relationship or even develop a health problem - hypertension. Another reaction would be to stay calm, express your disappointment at the lateness and ask if there was a problem. You can also smile and gently insist that the meeting begins immediately. By this second reaction, you have conquered a satanic plan to frustrate your day. Apply this principle to most things as you go out today and daily, and watch God turn your life, family, business and ministry into the GOSHEN of your generation even as you prepare for the 14-day fasting program starting from July 9th-22nd, 2017. TOPIC: THE 90/10 PRINCIPLE:
PRACTICAL APPLICATION

Please refer to yesterday's devotional encounter. Heaven will drop a few practical hints to turn you from pressure to pleasure! If someone says something negative about you, do not be a sponge. Let the attack roll of like water on glass. You do not have to let the negative comment affect you. React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong action could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed up, etc. Proverbs 15:1a says: "a soft answer turns away wrath." How do you react if someone annoys you in a traffic jam or stress crops up in a bus? Lose your temper? Pound the steering wheel? Curse? Shout? Reply to every statement? Does your blood pressure shoot up? Have you forgotten that you have just one life and that it's better you are late to work or home than become the Late? Do you know that just one driver in a traffic jam sent by Satan can destroy your joy? Do you know that Satan can use one of your colleagues in your office to steal your joy? Please always remember the 90/10 principle! If you have no job or you just lost a relative or you lost a relationship (courtship or even marriage), what do you do? Lose your sleep? Go on drugs? Go on alcohol? Pity yourself? Get irritated or shout at everyone around? Get depressed? No! No! No! Use the time spent worrying to look for another job. Get a prayer partner in crisis! Call us - ODM lines! If one relationship breaks, God can raise a million others. Spend time staying around positive people! You can decide to serve God the more by it. Whatever happens, avoid worrying and stress! Laugh often and be positive! Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% of your reaction. You will not fail God or your generation! I see you ending this year with a great testimony as an EVIDENCE that your God is not a liar even as you prepare for the 14 -day fasting program starting from July 9th - 22nd, 2017. Peace!

TOPIC: HOW HEAVY IS YOUR BAG?
BASIC SCRIPTURE:
MATTHEW 18: 15-22
A University teacher told his class students to each bring a clear plastic bag and sack of potatoes. The lesson was that for every one they refused to forgive, he told them to choose a potato, write on it the name and date and put it in the plastic bag. Some of the bags as you can imagine were quite heavy. He then told them to carry this bag with them everywhere for one week, putting it beside their beds at night, on the car seat when driving, etc. The hassle of lugging the bag around made it so clear what a weight they were carrying. Naturally after a while, the conditions of the potatoes deteriorated to a foul smell. The teacher then told the class that it was a clear picture for the price we pay for keeping our pain and and carrying every worry done to us in our hearts. According to Dr. Redford Williams, the stress hormone CORTISOL which fuels anger, literally tears blood vessels, causing damage to your arteries. Continuous anger against yourself or anyone else, prevents the healing process from taking place! So once the damage is done, a single bout of rage can trigger a fatal heart attack. Forgiveness is the one power you always have over the person who hurt you. Lincoln said, "The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend." Lewis Smedes wrote: "To forgive is to set a prisoner free and to discover that the prisoner was you".
George Herbert told his son: " He who cannot forgive breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass." Won't you need forgiveness from God or man someday? Then construct that bridge now! Forgive that betrayal! Forgive that injustice! Forgive that deliberate offence! Don't carry a LUGGAGE God has not given you! Let go and let God! No matter how 2017 has been, I prophesy: An enemy will STUMBLE concerning you and you will be mightily announced by your God as an EVIDENCE that He is not partial in Jesus name! Amen! Years ago, I discovered and wrote that the Israeli postal authority delivers hundreds of letters addressed to God. "The Economist" reported then that letters came from every corner of the world at all times of the year. The letters voiced praise, complaints or requested often for forgiveness or help. Some letters accused God of deliberate delay and disappointment over His administrative style in handling world affairs. What happened to the letters? Letters with a sender's address were sent back, while the rest were delivered to the western (WAILING) WAR in Jerusalem in care of the chief Rabbi to be inserted into the holy wall's cracks. If a writer appeared not to be Jewish, his letter was forwarded to the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Oh, what a funny world! Funnier, is the report that an Israeli telecom company now has a fax line to God and just opened an e-mail account for those wishing to speed up heavenly connections. This is a crazy world and in the midst of the perils (pain) of the end times, the hearts of many are crying out to their "unknown God " for help! God is today calling you to set a guard over your prayer altar! Millions do not know how to connect to God and they are writing letters daily to Israel. That is why you must thank God for what you know and you must not joke with your prayer plan! Those in the 24-hour Manna Worldwide Prayer Chain must not joke over that opportunity to connect to God on behalf of nations and man. Every ODM distributor must be on his/her knees regularly. Thank God for great testimonies from the chain! One key factor in accelerating your prayer fire is by getting a prayer partner! Why don't you get someone you can meet with once or twice a week to pray? In this third quarter of the year, determine to polish your prayer altar! Get a prayer partner! Resist discouragement! He recounted: "I said 'NO'; then he pulled out the gun and shot me in the head and fled." Can you imagine a man walking with blood oozing from his head for 2 kilometers? He said: "I determined to make it to mama's house and die if necessary." DETERMINATION UNIVERSITY! What a school! Good enough, help came before he fainted! The Holy Ghost emphasis to you is that you must be a man/woman of courage on this planet. No wonder a wise man said: "Where there is a will, there is a way." TOPIC: EVERY TRIUMPH IS A STORY OF REJECTION

The story is told of a partially deaf four year-old kid who came home with a note in his pocket from his teacher: "Your boy is too stupid to learn. Get him out of the school." His courageous mother read the note and answered; "My boy is not stupid to learn. I will teach him myself" and that boy who was rejected by men, grew up to become the great Thomas Edison. Oh, there is power in determination! Can you ever mention a great man who succeeded and affected his/her generation without setbacks, obstacles or problems? Late Nelson Mandela was jailed for 27 years! Late M.K.O Abiola was dumped in the dustbin at birth because nobody was sure he would live. Years ago, Kanu Nwankwo, the great Nigerian footballer, nearly died of heart problems. Abraham Lincoln was raised in poverty! Enrico Caruso was the first to survive in a poor Italian family of 18 children. Mrs. Ilabar, the lady who lost all her three children in the ill-fated Sosoliso air crash of December 10th, 2005 did not die because of that. All she could say during the special interdenominational funeral service was: "All died. All! All died." At a point, even the policemen who were asked to politely evacuate her, refused to obey orders, saying, "Leave her alone." Yet, such a woman did not commit suicide! She is alive! Why are you planning to give up on God? Have you heard of motion without friction? Let me know if there is a great star without a scar! Search the internet and see if you will ever find a story of triumph without trials! Esther was an orphan! Mordecai was a gateman! Paul was a murderer! Peter was an illiterate! Moses did not disguise himself as a woman to escape, but he was a vagabond! Yes, mountains exist, but God wants you to know that He is working on your case and if you refuse to stop accusing Him, you will be singled out of the crowd for an uncommon testimony! Hold on and hold out!

Did you get that? ONE MAN called ACHAN, meaning, "TROUBLE MAKER," BROUGHT DEFEAT TO A WHOLE NATION that had just celebrated victory over mighty Jericho! They were DEFEATED by a very small city called "AI." Then Vs 6 says : " And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth is upon his face before the ark of the LORD until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads." Instead of MOVING FORWARD, Joshua FELL TO THE EARTH with dust on his head! That means ACHAN is a DELAY AGENT! ACHAN is that battle that comes to put dust (SHAME) on your head! ACHAN is that battle that comes to put dust (SHAME) on God your head! ACHAN is that battle that comes to make you to lie down in depression and ashes (past glory)! ACHAN is your VICTORY SPOILER, TESTIMONY ATTACKER, JOY ROBBER and CELEBRATION STOPPER! Did the Jews not lose their joy and celebration of victory over Jericho? Ah! ACHAN is a demotion agent! He brought Joshua from the high horse of victory to the dust of defeat! ACHAN is that circumstances that makes you want to accuse God or question Him! Did Joshua not ask God bitter questions after this defeat? OH ACHAN! ACHANS are around your office, businesses, marital stories, career environment, academics, etc. Yes, Joshua and the whole nation were delayed because of ACHAN but it was only for a while because ACHAN was killed and Joshua made very fast progress thereafter! Jehovah is sending me to announce to you that in this (14 day fasting program) against EVERY ACHAN (DELAY AGENT), I see your TESTIMONY showing up by fire and by force! NEVER give up now! TOPIC: HE KILLED HIS FIRST SON! THE POWER OF YOUR SACRIFICE!
BASIC SCRIPTURE:
2 KINGS 3: 19-27
Welcome to today's devotional! Vs. 27 of today's scripture says, "Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land." Wow! You mean God turned against His own people because of the sacrifice of a Moabite king? O yes! That's the power of sacrifice and the mystery of sacrifice. What 700 men with swords could not do, a single sacrifice did (Vs. 26). Note: "And there was great indignation against Israel." The calamity of Moab was exchanged by a sacrifice and by it, God "turned His back" on Israel. Your sacrifice can terminate DELAY, end a life of struggle, scatter barriers, destroy strongholds and break the can cycle of poverty. The difference today is that Jesus has been offered as the greatest and final sacrifice! So you are not meant to offer human or animal sacrifice. One major source of sacrifice available to us today is SEED SOWING (Gen. 8:22). Your SEED connects you to the BLOOD which connects you to MERCY, which in turn provokes the DISGRACE of ACHAN. Your SEED carries a voice that speaks day and night on your behalf! What you cannot do in 20 years, your seed can do in one day! I thank God that in this vision, testimonies of seeds sown are spreading like wildfire worldwide. What you sowed for may not have happened exactly but He makes all things beautiful in His own time! If you have sown before and have not seen results, don't quit! See Eccl 11:6 now! You can sow again! Welcome to today's devotional hour! Share with me the testimony below: "Dear Dr. Chris, I have held this testimony for too long. I read one of the passages in ODM where users were instructed to sow a seed to a pastor or man of God but I ignored it, not because I didn't want to give but because I didn't have anything to give at that point. On that day, I was instructed by the Holy Spirit to give my phone and I told myself, "Impossible " because I had no job and that was the only treasure I had then. I was so restless and my heart was so heavy until I accepted to give out the phone at about 10:30am that same day. So, I called a pastor friend who has a ministry at Eleme, Port Harcourt. To my greatest surprise, he was already on his way to Port Harcourt from Eleme, heading somewhere but stopped by to see me. When I met him and told him the reason why I wanted to see him, he was dazzled and told me that he had been praying and believing God for a phone; that the one he had been using was very bad and had a bad screen. He was happy because my phone was a very recent model of Sony Ericsson Smart. He prayed for me and I left. Exactly seven days later, a call came in through my cousin that I should come for a job with all the necessary documents because I was to travel off to start work the next day and that was how my life changed for good. "Dear Dr. Chris, I am Worla B.A from Ghana and a regular user of ODM. On the 11th April, 2017 edition of Our Daily Manna, you asked us to "Pray for the next seven days against premature death," which I diligently did. Just a day after the prayers which was 18th April, 2017, the God who fetches, water with the basket to disgrace the bucket and the Holy Spirit who directs our paths, saved me from a near-fatal accident on my way to work. Pastor Chris, on that faithful day, I passed through my normal route to work. When I got to the T-junction, I observed all the traffic rules and in fact, I even looked back before crossing. There was a house close to the road with walls around it which I had to pass by. Pastor, less than five steps to the wall of this house, a commercial car with passengers speeding from where I didn't know lost control and crashed into the walls of the house, entering it before stopping. That was exactly the spot where I had passed with less than five steps forward. If the Holy Spirit hadn't ordered my steps to pass there quickly, the car would have hit me before using me to hit the wall. I thank God for revealing this to you far ahead of time so that I could pray and avert premature death. The storm is not a stranger to the BOAT. They are relational. In fact, a sailor would be very surprised to sail through the sea without a storm. STORMS are challenges, battles, problems, troubles, difficulties, situations and circumstances that confront your life and destiny. Your BOAT is that which enables you to sail your way through life. It is your vision, your dream, your goals, your faith, your hope and your expectations. Just as the storm confronts the boat, challenges and difficulties or indeed every ACHAN (DELAY AGENT), etc, confronts your life. Always remember: NO PRESSURE NO DIAMONDS! The same boiling water that softens the potato, hardens the egg! It depends on what you are made of. Not the circumstances! Oh! Note the words "CERTAIN SEASON," It was not a regular or event, maybe once or twice a year. Welcome! The story was told by a man of God, of a sister from a polygamous family who broke the demonic law of limitation by being the first and only one to receive a university education out of 17 children from that family. She also broke the rule by being the first and only one to get married in that family. Other children were unmarried, failures, "area boys/girls," robbers, and had disgraceful lifestyle s in their communities. On her wedding day, the senior witch and first wife of her father danced to her side and whispered in her ears that their coven only permitted her to go thus far, and from then on, she would never get pregnant! The witch danced away and nobody knew what she said except the bride. From that day and for the next two years, her menstruation ceased completely until serious prayers by a man of God brought forth her turning point. Wow! Great God! Note that the witch told her, she would never get pregnant! That was a satanic judgement and sentence against her marital destiny because she broke a demonic law that nobody would amount to anything in her family bloodline. But who has the final say? Vs 37 of today's first scripture sounds like a bomb, "Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?" God is a specialist in upturning and overturning demonic sentences, satanic decrees, witchcraft judgements and captivity to the favour of His children (Psalm 126:1)! Yes, it took some years of pain, agony and shame, but God turned her pain to gain, her agony to glory and her shame to fame. That shall be your story and experience in this fasting programme and beyond. Recall that in the story above, the witch declared to the sister that "she would never get pregnant."
